RARE VERY LARGE EARLY 18th. CENTURY HAND PAINTED DELFT VASE. This is a wonderful, early, and large 18th. Century hand painted blue and white Delft tin glazed vase of Dutch origin. In a very large shouldered ovoid Orientalist form with small collar rim it’s decorated with fine hand painted stylised images, in an Eastern manner, of a figure in a lake side scene to two panels, while the other two panels portray two figures on a bridge leading to a village. Each panel and shoulder is separated by Orientalist floral borders, while the base has Pieter Gerritsz’s under-glaze hand painted’PK’ mark – see photographs and details. It measures 13″ (33cm) x 8 1/2″ (22cm) W approx; and is in excellent condition for a piece of tin glazed faience of its age however, there are some small firing faults and light crazing, to report – see photographs and details. This is a lovely, large, and unusual Delft hand painted Orientalist vase with an interesting subject, which with a realistic, yet still low start price should get a good deal of interest from all collectors. Antique teapot from the 19th century with an old Moroccan stamp made of copper, characterized by carvings and hand-made. This jug is one of the antiques that I inherited from my great-grandfather. My father told me that my great-grandfather got this jug when he was in Morocco when he was 15 years old. This teapot stayed with my great-grandfather and brought it back with him to the homeland, then my younger grandfather inherited it and also my father until I inherited it. Original condition, both lamps and bulbs off and on switch work. Dusty but overall recondition for being over 100 years old they originally had crystals or prisms hanging off the pedals I believe, but did not see at the Estate very beautiful and elegant lamps. These I believe were made in the late 1800s to very early 1900s bulbs work excellent as well to the knob often on switch switches. I did Hook them up to a wire to test. Cord is not included.
An early 19th century Georgian Spode porcelain teapot and matching oval stand featuring a classic blue and white transfer-printed Willow pattern. The teapot has a cylindrical body with a straight spout and a curved, angular handle, both accented with delicate gold gilt detailing that also circles the rims and the base. The intricate landscape scene depicts traditional pagodas, a weeping willow tree, a bridge, and distant mountains, all set against a white porcelain ground. Stand dimensions: 18.25 x 15 cm – Teapot length: 26 cm – Height: 14.5 cm – Width: 11.5 cm. In great overall condition with a tiny chip to end of spout. An exceptionally good and highly decorative mahogany (and other) early 19th century William IV period pedestal table, with the most attractive geometric parquetry top. All original except for a couple of replacements to the ebony wood outer boarder/tray edge. Cracks to the base are purely cosmetic, not structural. Stands well, no wobble. H 72 cm x W 41 cm.
