Large silver coronation spoon Edward VII, 1902. Original box and booklet. The spoon was presented to the Moderator of the Church of Scotland, James Curdie Russell, in 1902 to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII. James Curdie Russell is one of the few people who attended the coronation of Edward VII. A church moderator is a senior official in some Presbyterian and Reformed churches. Walking Lion confirms that the item is made in England from 925 sterling silver. “Leopard’s Head” is the hallmark of the London Assay Office. Porcelain weight box from Germany. These weights date from the beginning of the 20th century and probably originated in Germany. Each weight is built of a porcelain cylinder and inside it – a metal weight. The box contains 6 porcelain weights and a few regular bronze weights. The number of grams is displayed on each weight. The box is 23 cm long and 9 cm wide.
Up for sale is a very rare antique steel and brass compass tool made the first half of the 19th century.
