Early Worcester Hibiscus or Honeysuckle Pattern Tea Bowl Saucer c1758 Antique Georgian Rare. For your perusal, a rare tea bowl and saucer made by Worcester. The pieces are in the Hibiscus or Honeysuckle pattern. Each is decorated with scroll emblems, large flowers, trailing vines and insects. These pieces date to circa 1758, so early for Worcester. The pieces are in good condition, especially for their age. The pattern is good with some rubbing & wear in places. There are some firing, age & usage marks & frit in the glaze, which are normal in ceramics of this age. There are some small losses to the base rims. The tea bowl has a firing imperfection and associated chip to the top rim. Please see photos as these form part of the description. The approximate measurements are. Tea bowl: 4.2cm tall & 7.4cm top diameter. Saucer: 12.3cm top diameter. Please see my other listings for more, mostly ceramic, pieces. I package everything in the best way I can to protect against breakages, however, I can’t take responsibility for items lost or damaged during transit. Thank you for looking and happy shopping.

Rare Antique Persian Silver Hookah/Shisha Pipe Head Shiraz, Early 19th Century
For sale is a rare and exquisite museum antique Persian hookah (shisha) pipe head, originating from Shiraz, Iran, and dating to the early 19th century. This intricately handcrafted piece is made of solid silver and features ornate repoussé and chased designs depicting figures, animals, floral patterns, royal and symbolic motifs. The craftsmanship reflects the rich artistic heritage of Qajar-era Persia. Origin: Shiraz, Persia (Iran). Date: Early 1800s (Qajar Period). Material: Solid silver with chain and hanging charms. Height: 10 Inches (25 CM) X 3.5 Inches at top (8.5 CM) and 1.8 inches at bottom. Condition: Very good antique condition with a beautiful patina; signs of use as expected from a piece of this age (see photos for details). Upper Chamber: Finely pierced rim with tree-of-life motifs flanked by human figures in traditional Persian attire, possibly depicting scenes of celebration or storytelling. Ornamental cut-outs and chased foliage give the top an airy, regal look. Middle Section: Adorned with narrative scenes including a mounted figure with a horn, and attendants holding fish and birds – potentially referencing prosperity or festivity. Lower Section: Features a fluted base with hanging chains, bells, and tokens – typical of ceremonial or noble hookahs used in elite gatherings. Interior: Perforated bowl for tobacco or herbal mixtures, showing signs of genuine historical use with darkened patina inside. This type of Persian silver hookah head is extremely rare, especially in such well-preserved condition. Often reserved for aristocracy or nobility, this item would have been a centrepiece in courtly gatherings or private salons of the elite during the Qajar period. Collectors of Islamic, Persian, or Middle Eastern antiques. Interior decorators seeking authentic antique pieces. Hookah enthusiasts and cultural historians.

Antique Rare MacKenzie Polygraph Machine in Original Case Early 1900s
Antique Rare MacKenzie Polygraph Machine in Original Case – Early 1900s. Very interesting small machine. Wind the small end winder and some type of a clockwork device ticks away for awhile. Then if the other larger winder is wound some the little polygraph paper reel roller rotates (after the clock part stops ticking I guess – I looked over and it was turning – can’t really get it to do it on command – so hmmmm – there is also a on/off and some type of a calibration screw control). I do not have access to the instructions, so I know there is much more to getting it to work properly. All parts shown included. The tubing and leather straps have aged. The case inside has some deterioration and had some “flakes” of something in there (still a residue of that). The main metal attachments are in good condition. It looks like the original ink bottle, but is empty. The outer case is cool looking and in good condition. The case measures approx. 10″ x 6 ” 4 1/2. The metal device is approx. 4″ x 3″ x 2 1/2. I have seen some diagrams and pictures on how all this goes together. A few of these are in museums. Not many left out there. See pics for details. Questions Welcome Anytime :.
