Under the handle in Roman numerals is VIII (8) so the assumption this was at least one of 8, Hence from a very big household. The kettle has a dovetailed construction with dovetail seam opposite the spout, and the base is dovetailed on. The handle and the spout are riveted on. Note the handle shape accommodates the use of hooks to swing it over a range or open fire. This is a Georgian kettle but could be early Victorian. Later kettles tend to have 3 section handles with wooden centre. On posting day I will send tracking details. Check out my feedback for quality assurance.
