The african tribal silver tea pot form is specific of the mauritanian tuareg nomadic tribes, in north western africa and is made out of pewter and then decorated with copper and brass pieces which are hammered into the shape and then soldered into place. A Rare Early Brass Brazier And Bronze Bowl 17th Century. Fantastic Early piece circa 1650 -1700 ish the bowl is bonze very heavy, maybe earlier but as you can see it fits and came together from a collection, the bowl of course damaged as you can see the but i think it is actually paktong please look carefully its a mich lighter colour. Amazing early japanese enamelled dish. Dating from the 17th/18th century. Beautiful decoration in kakiemon red, blue, green and yellow enamels. 14.8 cm diameter. This fine and rare dish is in perfect condition, the small imperfection in the rim is not a chip but is glased and occurred during the making process. Beautiful antique piece of japanese history. A pretty Derby porcelain baluster shape cream jug with convex fluted walls, raised flared spout and strap handle with vertical kick thumb rest. Finely painted in pastel enamels with floral sprays and finished with a red-brown enamel rim. It measures 10.3cm (4 1/8″) high, 7cm (2 3/4″) wide and 8cm (3 1/8) front to back.
This is a stunning early example of a British needlework sampler. Please see the photos for a clear representation of its condition, as there are a few small holes on the sampler but it still looks lovely when it’s hung on a wall. I have also included the measurements in the photos.
