This is a stunning and very rarely seen parrot figure from Spode Copelands dating to the early 20th Century. This magnificent bird is in excellent condition standing an impressive 10.5 inches (27cm) tall. It is beautifully sculpted with wings open, nestling on branches of a tree with superbly painted features and original glass eyes. I can find no restoration, repair, crazing or damage apart from one small hairline crack across one of the branches at the base of the sculpture. I believe the bird was carefully preserved as part of the’Bill Coles Collection’, an avid Spode collector. MAGNIFICENT RARE Copeland Spode – Huge PARROT Figure 10.5 Inches 27cm.
