1816 Holy Bible printed in Philadelphia by W. Original leather binding shows some wear, but overall quite good compared to most of these early American printings. 1815 HOLY BIBLE 1st American Stereoytpe RARE D&G Bruce LEATHER antique EARLY old

1815 Holy Bible Stereotyped and Printed in New York by D. This is the first Bible printed in America using stereotype plates made in America. This printing is much more rare than the 1812 Bible Society of Philadelphia printings and is difficult to find in any condition. The actual binding of the pages is solid. Front cover worn, but not in terrible condition for age. The rear cover has been affected by water damage and is very warped/discolored. This affects a small portion of the spine as well. Though there is some staining to pages, luckily it’s very minimal when compared to the cover. Typically when you see this kind of water damage to the covers, it also drastically affects the pages as well. But in this case, either a rebind or a replacement of the rear cover would nicely preserve this rare printing! Pages have the typical foxing you would expect from a Bible of this age. Measures about 7″ x 4.5″ and about 2 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old. 1714 HOLY BIBLE john baskett LONDON early edition RARE antique OLD

1714 Holy Bible printed in London by John Baskett. Very early complete Bible printed by John Baskett. Any John Baskett printing prior to 1715 is difficult to find. Beautiful original leather binding with gold gilt design on covers and spine. Very worn, but covers are holding well. Someone later added the blanks and marbled pastedowns in an attempt to match the originals. The title page is partially stuck to the new endpaper, not allowing you to open it all the way (see pictures). Some damage to the edges and bottoms of first pages (see pictures). Some pages protruding slightly with rough edges. This copy had gauffering on edges, but it’s a bit hard to see now. Mostly clean of markings and such. Some owner inscriptions at rear. Measures just under 7″ x 4.25″ and a little over 2 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old. 1820 Holy Bible printed in New York by The American Bible Society Stereotyped by D & G Bruce. Original leather binding worn, hole in leather on rear cover, split starting to bottom of front cover, spine chipped at top. Bible is solid though and quite attractive! Has some family history info on front and rear blanks. Measures about 7.5″ x 4.75″ and around 2.5 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old. 1827 Holy Bible stereotyped in Cooperstown, New York by H & E Phinney. Original leather binding a little worn, but good condition compared to most copies that you see. Very attractive for age! Some foxing and spots throughout. Very slight weakening to hinges, but both covers are still well attached. If you’re interested in an 1827 Phinney Bible, this is the condition that you hope to find!
