And so marked on the original rear maker’s brass plaque, also on a front brass tag. THE CRESCENT LAMP, TRADE MARK, PATENT. This Policeman’s hand held oil lamp was manufactured in the early 1900s and was issued to Police Forces and several Railway companies (one being the Cheshire Lines Committee, CLC) in the UK. The lamp is 165mm high 6. 1/2 inches, 103mm wide (4 inches), 114mm deep (4 1/2 inches). It’s in used condition with quite a bit of wear to the paint. I’m unsure if it’s missing any internal components, so please study the photos. Higher priced electrical items & crockery will be security marked.
