This listing is for a rare antique skeleton clock. The clock is English and it dates to the early 19th century. The clock was made by Edward Scales of Manchester, England. According to “Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World” by GH Baillie, Scales was active in Manchester during the early 19th century, starting around 1800. The base is made from nice burled wood. The time only chain fusee movement does appear to be in overall good condition. But it has been in storage for quite some time. The clock could use some routine servicing and the fusee cable needs to be replaced. Glass dome is missing. 11 x 6 x 14.5 inches.

TERRIFIC ANTIQUE REDWARE URN / CROCK / VASE. About 11 1/2″ high x 10 1/2″ diameter. Rare redware urn with manganese splotch glaze. Probably Maine or New Hampshire origin. Bulbous form with applied ear handles. Lightly incised ring decorations around the body and neck. Please find for offer a Fijian carved wood statue, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The piece depicts a stylised bust of a man with elaborate hair (see last image for reference). Figurative sculpture from Polynesia is rare to find, and this example would’ve been made for the early tourist trade. Some age related splits to the wood with the largest on the front. Some small chips/knocks in places. Small area with filler to one side of hair. Age related wear as expected. Please examine photos carefully. Item will be sent tracked and signed-for. Exquisitely detailed antique bronze sculpture cigar cutter. The fox is absolutely wonderfully crafted. Probably pre the 1920s. Unsigned, however I believe it to be Austrian. A Rare Early 20th Century Brass Table Light by Dugdills. A wonderful piece of lighting from the early range by the iconic John Dugdill, an absolute beauty of which this is only one I’ve seen. Dimensions in inches: H 30″ x W 14″ x D 10″ Shade H 10″ x W 10″ x D 12″ Origin: English Age: Early 20. This antique object is completely solid in structure and form, firmly in place but shows natural aging across all surfaces, wear commensurate with age, very good overall. The lamp will need to be mounted to either a flat surface or wall, it does not free stand. Rewired to a UK 240v switch power source, with switch on and off attached. The flex cable which is (beige in colour) is loose to the frame (does not run through the neck of the light) The cable has been photographed without the power cable in certain photos to show its structural form as it stands. All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use, rewired in twisted flex. The measurements above are not for the item fully extended but in the half-articulated form. It’s a lot longer when fully extended. A direct message usually takes 24 hours to answer.
