ANOTHER LOVELY ANTIQUE ITEM FROM MYANTIQUECOLLECTION2020. OFFERED TODAY IS THIS SILVER PLATED BEAUTIFUL CIRCA LATE GEORGIAN/ EARLY VICTORIAN HINGED LID LADY’S DESK TOP INK STAND WITH LOVELY LION MASK HANDLES AND SET UPON BUN FEET. COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL GLASS INKWELLS AND SPONGE COMPARTMENT WITH LID. Some light wear to plating in places. Hinges for lid very good. Glass on inkwells no chips. Small hole at the side of one foot (underneath) which looks to be intentional. A few light dings to the main body but in good condition for its age. Approx length= 20 cms. Approx width= 9.5 cms. Approx height= 7.3cms. A beautiful compact Ladies desk top ink stand. THANKS FOR LOOKING. Please do not waste anyone’s time if you are not interested.

A very rare early French antique solid sterling silver wine taster. It is hallmarked with the French charge and discharge marks for 1768 – 1774, pre French Revolution. It has been superbly made having a scroll handle and engraved initials. It is in good condition for its age being free from splits and repairs, there are a few slight dinks to the raised decoration and one tiny pin hole – see final photo (worth getting sorted on such a rare piece). It is nice and clean inside. 4 inches (10cm) wide including the handle by 3.25 inches (8cm) excluding it by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall to the top of the handle and and weighs 84 grams. 1815 Holy Bible Stereotyped and Printed in New York by D. This is the first Bible printed in America using stereotype plates made in America. This printing is much more rare than the 1812 Bible Society of Philadelphia printings and is difficult to find in any condition. The actual binding of the pages is solid. Front cover worn, but not in terrible condition for age. The rear cover has been affected by water damage and is very warped/discolored. This affects a small portion of the spine as well. Though there is some staining to pages, luckily it’s very minimal when compared to the cover. Typically when you see this kind of water damage to the covers, it also drastically affects the pages as well. But in this case, either a rebind or a replacement of the rear cover would nicely preserve this rare printing! Pages have the typical foxing you would expect from a Bible of this age. Measures about 7″ x 4.5″ and about 2 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old.
