Very Rare 1886 to Early 1900’s Antique K & R Simon Halbig German Bisque Doll. The Doll is priced to match dolls of this age and condition. Please make reasonable offer if you would like this rare gem of a doll. This rare doll is out of an estate, and has belonged to the same family since it was made. She is in very good condition considering her age. Her head has no chips, cracks. She has her original wooden body and it is in great condition. The Kämmer & Reinhardt doll company was formed in 1886. By the sculptor Ernst Kammer and the salesman Franz Reinhardt. In Waltershausen, Thüringia, Germany by Ernst Kämmer and Franz Reinhardt. Early K & R dolls were made of wax. K & R bisque doll heads and bodies were designed by them, but most heads were manufactured by Simon & Halbig which is why heads bear both marks. From 1886 to 1909 K & R made only dolly faced dolls with a bisque head on a composition ball jointed or kid body, many with an open mouth and teeth (like this doll). After 1909 they made many types of dolls; bisque, composition or celluloid heads and even cloth costume dolls with wired bodies dressed in various professions. K & R is probably best known for character baby and child dolls. Bisque head on a ball jointed composition. Swivel bisque head with the original cork pate. Working brown glass sleep eyes that still open and close. Her mouth is open with her teeth showing. Mohair Hair with Flowers in them. She is still wearing her original clothing; a beautiful pink long dress with black lace detailing, a white slip. The dress is made by hand and is in very good condition, just missing some buttons. The dress was made well over 100 years ago so there is a tiny bit of damage. This doll is a rare find and would be a perfect addition to a collection, or a perfect holiday gift. Grab it while you can. The item “Very Rare 1886 to Early 1900’s Antique K & R Simon Halbig German Bisque Doll” is in sale since Monday, October 26, 2020. Stunning and Very Rare 1950s Light Elm Ercol Sideboard. Blue Label evident to inside right central cupboard door. Condition is very good, some signs of wear commensurate with age but overall a beautiful tone and glow. I have tried to list all imperfections below, but please use photographs for additional information. There is a faint ring mark and one area of slight darkening to the top – likely to be resolvable with a sand if desired but we have not done this as dont feel it is necessary. There is one scratch in the wood to top right inset panel of right central cupboard door. There is a small, slightly darker line along the front lower right central door and frame, again would likely lift with a sand but not done as not felt needed for aesthetics. There is minor damage to both handles on top left hand drawer- I have actually had to look hard to see which drawer in order to photograph this, so it isnt something I notice standing back. The top 2 drawers have been felted at some stage, unsure if original. One has had felt removed. This could easily be remedied if desired. There are signs of use to the internal wood in cupboards and drawers, if seeking a perfect look then again could have a light sand. I must stress that this is a mid- century original piece and as such is not in perfect like new condition, but rather has a beautiful glow only found in older items and the solid elm top and? Beech/ elm frame and body are truly beautiful to behold. It is sympathetically restored with a very light, ultra low grit sand and wax polish, ready to be used and look stunning in any setting. Approx 130 cm wide. Approx 50 cm deep. Approx 86 cm high. Any questions please feel free to get in touch. The item “Superb Rare Early 1950s Ercol Sideboard” is in sale since Monday, August 3, 2020. Up for sale is a rare antique Austrian portico clock, with silk thread movement. This piece is by CF Felsch, an Austrian clockmaker who worked out of Berlin in 1816. This clock was inherited from a late relative who restored clocks. This one was noted to have been serviced last in 2017. The clock ran when tested with a loud bell chime. This piece is absolutely stunning. It features a wooden, almost Biedermeier like casing, with carved lattice work, gilded metal ornaments, ebonized marquetry, and burled detailing. The piece is in overall good condition- a few minor chips around the keyhole on the dial, and some age cracks in parts of the wood (see photos). Measures 14.75 x 8.5 x 22 inches. This item is part of an inherited estate. We are not clock experts, so time accuracy is not guaranteed. Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions.
