Very Early Ross London Petzval 320mm f4.5 Portrait Antique Brass Lens c1851 RARE

Very Early Ross London Petzval Portrait lens with a cemented achromat lens at the front and two air spaced lenses (flint+crown) at the rear. 4355 (very early Circa 1851/52). Focal length: 320mmApprox. Speed: f4.5 approx. Ross lenses are synonymous for their quality and the early portrait petzval lenses were amongst the very best lenses for their time. In fact Dallmeyer worked for Ross for some time before setting up his own business in c1860. Probably made/intended for 6×4″(cabinet) format although covers very well on my whole plate(6.5″x8.5 format) camera. May also cover 10×8 especially at portrait distance(not tested). The outside of the brass lens barrel shows much patina and wear/scratches commensurate with age. There are some dings/dents to the hood. The barrel has been cut/modified possibly by W. Optically the lens is in good condition especially when considering it’s age. Clean / clear to look though. On closer inspection there is some small edge separation on front lens. Also a few quite deep scratches/scuffs marks on rear glass. There are also some small dust / cleaning marks / small scratches and some micro bubbles all normal for an antique lens of this age and nothing to affect performance. The rack&pinion is not working smoothly! It appears to slip/get stuck mostly in one direction, although if helped by hand it can be made to work somewhat but it’s really not so important as usually the camera should be used to focus. There is a w aterhouse stop slot that has been made later but no stops included! All lens elements & hood can be unscrewed. Height: 6.7 inches including hood. Glass diameter: 3.25 inches. Rear screw thread diameter: 4.2 inches. Lens comes with front cap(poor condition/falling apart). PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FLANGE WITH THIS LENS! Extremely Rare Early 1900s Korean Hymnal Korea. This booklet was belong to missionary by the name of Whittemore. He was in Korea from the late1800s until about 1920, according to his grandson, Arthur Jr. I have his letter envelope sent to Choson, pyungyang from US, but I cannot find it now. If I find it, I will list the stamped envelope in future. American Missionanry in Korea from Google. Avison, the director of the Presbyterian Severance Hospital in Seoul, Samuel A. Moffett, a Presbyterian missionary in Pyongyang, and Norman C. Whittemore, a Presbyterian missionary in Seoncheon, North Pyong-an Province , met with Terauchi on 23 January 1912. They told him that it was inconceivable that the arrested Koreans, who were among the most respected people in Korean society, should have legitimately fallen under suspicion. But Terauchi refuted their position and told them that the fact that so many Korean Christians had been involved in the plot had surprised him. Extremely Hard to find item. Here is an Early Antique Barber, Apothecary or Dental Cabinet or Display Case With a Wood Frame, glass sides and glass shelves. Measurements are 13 1/4″ W, 12 3/4″ H, 8 1/4 D. It is in very good condition with the exception of a crack in glass by handle. Please see pictures they are the better description. What you see is what you get. Looks like some screws were replaced holding shelves and shelves have rough edges nothing very bad. I will gladly answer any questions you may have concerning this item on its condition. Antique French, Rare Chandelier, Empire Period, Gilt Bronze, Early 19th Century. Chandelier says to “the Antique”. French bronze work with double patina, gilded bronze and brown patina bronze. Cassolette model with 6 sconces simulated by ” cornucopia ” supported by female masks. The bottom of the cassolette is decorated with palmettes and a central bud , the top of the cassolette is finished by a flame. The whole is maintained by 3 chains united by a crown decorated with a bud and palmettes. Bronze work is of very high quality. This chandelier is rare because it is vintage, circa 1810 , a lot of Empire chandelier dates from the end of the 19th century or the 20th century. The model that we offer dates from the early 19th century, the bronzes are gilding original (it is used in places), the brown patina of the rest is also original (it also has a lot of wear) but the whole is original which is rare. We can if you wish to carry out the electrification, but you can also use the chandelier in decoration with candles, as at the time. It is a very beautiful object, entirely in solid bronze. Height: (76cm) 29.92 in. Diameter (46cm) 18.11 in. Weight (8.07kg) 17.79 lbs. Please look at the photos closely, they are an integral part of the description. This is a nice vintage NUMBER 2 Stanley handplane. This also is a early plane with the original finish and hasnt been cleaned but Iron is used and worn as pictures show. The condition is good a few scratches on the bottom. This came from a estate of a retired Chicago Vocational teacher that retired in 1958. Rare Early White Glass Original Art Deco Airplane Desk Lamp Patent Pending

This is an original Aviation Art Deco DC3 Airplane Lamp designed by Chicago Designer, Ray A. Schober, in the late 30’s. And made by Premium Products MFG. The DC3 maiden flight was Dec17,1935. It has chrome plated metal base, wings, propellers, elevator, and rudder. It has a frosted white glass fuselage with silver painted stripes and windows. The light switch as in the tail and the light and switch are working. This was a very early piece with U S PAT PENDING molded into the glass under the fuselage. The patent which was later issued will be 110196 and they also later began making this in cobalt blue glass. Measurements are approximately 12″ L x 13.25″ W x 8 H. The glass shade is 9.50 L. The reproduction is marked “Saspirilla Deco Designs” both molded in the glass and stamped in the metal under the base.
