A Rare Original Late Victorian Early Edwardian Antique Corset With Suspenders
Posted by admin On September 30, 2023
A Rare Original Late Victorian Early Edwardian Antique Corset With Suspenders. A Rare Handmade Late Victorian / Early Edwardian Corset. Being handmade I estimate this Corset to be of the late Victorian to Early Edwardian Period (1895 to 1900) as it does not have the typical S Bend curved frontage of the Edwardian Period. Made of a grey striped cotton material with internal boning the corset unusually has 2 suspenders attached to the front. The front does up with rivet hooks and the back with the traditional lacing to tighten as required. The top is edged with lace all around to give a feminine effect. Being a handmade Corset it is part machine sewn and part naively handstitched. Whether this is from adjustment or historical repair is unknown. The frontage isn’t quite symmetrical again from the handmade origins. There are rust marks on it predominantly where the suspenders have been attached. Again these have rusted (not suprising given age and use) and the pale pink suspenders have lost some of their elasticity over time. The rivets do have some rust particularly the lower one. There are marks and stains to both the front and interior of the corset again part of its working history. There are some eyelets to the back but some are just hand sewn again whether due to being handmade or being lost over time I’m unsure. The back ties are a pink lace which I’m assuming is a replacement from the original ribbon. The lace edging has fraying to it. The interior has what looks to be the name’Crewdson’ on it. Whether the maker or owner of the corset I have been unable to ascertain through research. I haven’t attempted to clean the corset and it is in an “as is” condition showing its history and story. One for the historical corset collector rather than purist. Width Open – Approx 31. Height Approx – 14 1/2. Chest is Approx 32 and listed as a UK 10 to 12 but please do remember these corsets were made to shape and form the silhouette. Please look at all pictures carefully, zoom in etc as they form part of the listing.

A Rare Very Early Antique Noritake Twin Handled Lidded Floral Pastel Vase c1902. A beautiful and very rare, early Noritake twin-handled, lidded floral vase bearing the single blue Noritake Komura mark to the base, dating the vase to >1902. The vase is of a beautiful four-footed pedestal form with twin open-top handles and lid with pointed finial. The vase is intricately hand-decorated with pink, purple and yellow blossoms with foliage and beautiful gilt beading and scrollwork on a white and turquoise ground. A really wonderful, early collector’s item. The vase is in quite remarkable condition with no chips or cracks to the body even the handles are good! But there is a little rubbing to the gilt around the topmost rim. The lid has been broken but professionally restored with the damage almost invisible to the outward facing area. A really good piece of restoration. Please see photographs for more information. The vase is 33cm high (including lid), 14cm diameter, 1063g weight. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further details or pictures. Please see my other items which include a number of pieces of Noritake porcelain.

VERY NICE, early pair of antique eye-glasses measuring approximately 4.5″ across the front with the bow length measuring 4-1/8″ unextended x 6 extended. Excellent condition overall although light scratches on the lense. ANTIQUE GLASSES ARE ALWAYS NICE, AND THIS PAIR HAS IT ALL FOR ANY COLLECTION OF EARLY PERIOD PERSONAL ITEMS OR EYEGLASSES DISPLAY OR COLLECTION. YOU COULD ALSO REPLACE LENSES WITH YOUR OWN PRESCRIPTION LENSES, If desired, FOR A REALLY GREAT EARLY 1800 LOOK!!! Lenses have nice “extending” side bows to help adjustment to different size heads. They also have holes on the end, which would allow for a ribbon or cord to be fed through and tied, to help hold them on if they were not tight enough. Really nice, early style, AND STILL IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION with both lenses intact. Complete and usable or a nice item to add to a variety of collections. Also, could be used as props in theatre productions or with Halloween costumes. Last photo is not glasses you will recieve but shows a similar pair dating C. Antique TELEPHONE Very Early NO DIAL Phone VERY RARE
Posted by admin On September 27, 2023
This antique telephone is a rare find, with a unique design that sets it apart from other phones of its time period. Its lack of a dial sets it apart from modern phones, and its early origin makes it a valuable piece for collectors of pre-1940 telephones. I’ve never seen one like this before. Looks to be Mica in the part you talk through. May be an early prototype. On marble stone base. Will consider Fair Offers. Lowball Offers, get the Boot.

Ultra Rare Dark Amber Stueben Glass. Buddha Kwan Yin Figurine 1920/30s. This ultra rare heavy clear dark Amber Kwan Yin. The figurine is standing up with a hair bun in the middle of the top of its head. It is wearing a long robe. The black stand in some of the photos is included with the figurine. Stueben glass was made in the United States in the early 1900’s. See the Dimitroff Steuben book. For an example of this piece. Kwan Yin in dark Amber Glass is very rare. This Kwan Yin figurine is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and would be lovely in anyone’s collection who loves rare figurines or centre pieces. It does have seams. And mold lines and air bubbles in the glass and you can feel some roughness around the bottom of the figurine, but it is not damage. The figurine is 10 inches. Is 2.5 inches or 6.5cm across. It is 11 inches or 27.5cms tall on the stand. The figurine is very heavy and solid. The Kwan Yin is very scarce and very hard to find in any colour, you do not see them on auctions anymore. This rare Kwan Yin has been in my collection for a long time, but now someone else can enjoy this lovely figurine in their collection. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. I will double box this lovely. Dark Amber Kwan Yin figurine. To protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now.
