Rare early 20th century French tin metal soldier’s family’s donation box. Dimensions: H 20″ x W 16″ x D 4 Weight: 4kg Date: Circa 1915. A one-off example in the form of an early 20. Century hand made tin metal charity box, with hand crafted cockerel positioned centrally. Hand painted French colours and original lock still in place. This charity box would have been used to collect donations for soldier’s families left behind as the soldiers in their family went to war. Structurally solid and stable. Naturally aged surface wear. Damage to the ankles of the bird form. The lock opens but without key. All items are described and photographed as accurately as possible. Change-of-mind cancellations are not accepted.
