Antique George II Silver Bullet Teapot, London 1734. A rare George II silver bullet teapot made in London 1734. The plain body standing on spreading circular foot. With carved wooden handle and slim cast spout. Engraved to lid and surrounds with a shell motifs. Hallmarked to underside for Michael Boult, London 1734. Further marks, lion passant and maker’s mark, to underside of lid. An early piece from a rare maker. In antique condition, with some issues. Signs that engravings to sides have been removed. There is solder visible to the interior on one side. Hinge is loose and has probably been repaired. There is rubbing to the engraving. Wear, with dings and extensive scratches throughout. Rare early English hand made and hallmarked solid silver nurses belt buckle. Made by Murrle Bennett & Co. Full Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1898. They also collaborated with Archibald Knox and Theodore Fahrner. Measures 3 1/2 inches 8.9 cm wide and 2 3/8 inches 6 cm tall. The silver weight is 43.7 grams. Excellent condition, please look at all the pictures. At some point I think the back loop has been repaired but professionally done. Will be delivered in a tissue lined gift box. Century circa 1810 solid bronze Italian Grand tour sculptures of winged Sphinxes. There are multiple high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This pair are magnificent, they are and original pair and have been together for the best part of 200 years, they are free from damage, everything is present and correct. One of the bases has been restored and a new piece of timber applied. Height:- 8.9cm. RARE EARLY VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER OWL & MOUSE MUSTARD POT – 1851. This is a rare example of an early Victorian hallmarked silver Owl Mustard pot with hinged lid opening to show the mustard spoon with a mouse finial that fits in the Owls beak when closed. It is beautifully modeled with realistic plumage decoration all round. It has its original two colour glass eyes. There is a blue glass liner inside. It is 4 inches (10.5cms) high and the silver weighs 4.7ozs (146 grams) and is in really good condition with no splits or repairs, no pin holes, no engraving and the hinged head works and closes properly. The glass liner has no damage. The hallmarks are rubbed but show the Owl and the Mouse were made in London 1851 with makers marks G. R for George John Richards, who was only working from 146 to 1855.
