Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working 1920’s Early HERMAN MILLER Large Fancy Regulator Wall Clock, made by the Herman Miller Clock Company Zeeland Michigan USA. This Has an Ornate Carved Walnut Wood Case with Fancy Carved Bottom, and Finial Topper. It is Signed on Back with the Original Herman Miller Brass Maker’s Label Tag, and Serial Number “4504”. This Has a Signed E. Welch Brass Mechanical Wind-Up “Time Only” Movement, with Lever Escapement. The Dial is a Paper Over Tin Dial with Roman Numerals. This is a Key Wind Clock, and includes a Winding Key. The Clock is Large, and Measures approx. 39″ Tall x 14 1/2″ Wide x 5 Deep. This is in Overall Good Original Condition with a Great Aged Patina, and Normal Wear From Age, Condition As Pictured and As Found! THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY LISTINGS. This listing is for. Automatic is the KEY Word.. The following is what I have learned. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS if you have any. I have described this the best I can. As is where is AS DESCRIBED. And ASK questions if you have any. (6 years short) and WORKING. Unfortunately I was only able to acquire this Master Clock. BUT if YOU have the relay and the Bell. Then you will want to add this to your collection ;=. The Wood Frame measures about 8 square and is made to hang the clock and hide the terminals and it fits tightly – it looks homemade and weighs about 1.1/2 pounds Mahogany I THINK. I would want a different display if I were to keep it. Either a nice panel to hang on the wall. Or the curved desk display. The clock weighs close to 6 pounds! It is about 3.1/2 Deep. The dial states that this was made for. SPAULDING & COMPANY, CHICAGO. The Brass bezel measures about 5.1/2″ across and has a small vintage dent on the outside edge (see picture) This unscrews so everything can be accessed from the front – The clock face and hands are in very good condition and measures about 4″ across. The back is sealed closed. The patent number of the clock is December 31, 1901 and the MATCHING serial number on the movement and the back of the clock is number 182790 and that dates it between 1925 and 1929 but closer to 1926! The movement is CLEAN and has been sealed – I do not have a history of the clock and it does not appear to have been worked on – I wound it and after a slow start it ran and chimed as it should for the past week 1 bell for 12:30 2 bells for 1 Three bells for 1:30 up to 8 bells repeating for 4 8 and 12 (the ships watch). Very Early & Rare One Piece Dial Vienna Wall Clock. Nice early and very rare one piece dial Vienna wall clock, these early examples are often referred to as’Biedermeier’. ? They were often made in Austria and not Germany and have much finer cases, which are more subtle and elegant and are certainly better constructed. The enamel dial is surrounded by a’pie crust’ cast bezel which is another early feature. The dial with nice fine hands is in very nice shape but there are a few scratches near the winding holes which are very hard to see. The movement is the lift on type, to the back plaque. The movement is clean with fine wheel work and dead beat? . The beat plaque is silvered brass which is a little faded. There is a key, weight and pendulum. The fine case looks like inlaid walnut? Which is faded in some areas (see photos) it has been in a direct sunlight. The fine crest at the top and bottom are in good condition. Early clocks like this have beautiful proportions and measures 40.5in tall (inc crest) x 11in wide x 4.75in deep. Please don’t confuse this early piece with the much inferior later German versions, this is a hard to find clock of some quality. It runs for 10-15mins then stops so would certainly benefit from a good clean and service. One side of the glass is missing on this excellent find. A nice little project that with a little work will run. Please see photos as it forms part of the description. Please note that I will only accept collection only on this item. This large clock with long duration mechanism has 5 hands to the dial showing date, day, hours, minutes and seconds. The magnificent mahogany case of ziggurat form with ebonised sections, applied ormolu ornamentation and a parquet type floor to the interior. The unmarked mechanism is large and runs for over 3 weeks. With pin pallet escapement and large ormolu sunburst pendulum seen swinging in the opening below the dial. Weighs 8.6kg before wrapping. The large case stands 22″ (56cm) high, 15.75″ (40cm) wide and 6.5 (16.5cm) deep. The large dial 7 (18cm) in diameter. It also has’D. M 6791′ stamped onto it Makers name?? . This clock has no dome which appears to have been missing for many years. The steel work has some surface rust which should clean off and it needs a new suspension. The spring is good and fully wound. Up for sale is a rare antique Austrian portico clock, with silk thread movement. This piece is by CF Felsch, an Austrian clockmaker who worked out of Berlin in 1816. This clock was inherited from a late relative who restored clocks. This one was noted to have been serviced last in 2017. The clock ran when tested with a loud bell chime. This piece is absolutely stunning. It features a wooden, almost Biedermeier like casing, with carved lattice work, gilded metal ornaments, ebonized marquetry, and burled detailing. The piece is in overall good condition- a few minor chips around the keyhole on the dial, and some age cracks in parts of the wood (see photos). Measures 14.75 x 8.5 x 22 inches.
