This listing is for an antique Ansonia mantel clock. This rare clock is referred to as a “swinger” or a “mystery” clock. This one is an early “tin can” model. This clock is composed of a statue of a woman and a clock that sways back and forth in her hand. The clock appears to be in overall good condition. We got it professionally tuned up and had the suspension repaired in August of this year. It ran when tested. Notes indicate that the colors on the statue were touched up in 2010. The repairman informed us that this is an Ansonia and that many of these mystery/swinger clock movements are not stamped with the Ansonia logo. The entire piece measures approximately 24 x 6.5 x 7 inches. Please see photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. This is an interesting little verge fusee carriage clock. I believe it to be English, but have not researched the clock in any way. The movement looks like a watch movement, but the plates are square so I dont think it is. The dial is silvered and nicely engraved and the clock runs. I did not test it for accuracy. I think that the tip of the minute hand is missing. The brass case has a nice patina. I notice that two of the four dial screws are missing. This is a rare and early clock and I doubt your going to see anything similar so dont miss it! This listing is for an early antique Black Forest wall clock. This clock is very unusual, as it features a roof like top, ornately carved lower panel with a carving of a man, carved dial, ornate hands, and wooden movement. The clock is missing its weights. We took photos with weights from an American ogee clock attached in order to show where the chains are. The ogee weights are not included. There are remnants of a makers label on the back. It looks like it says KHS with the emblem of an animal of sorts. This clock measures 48 x 15 x 8 inches. Its a beautiful pieces that we unfortunately do not know a whole lot about. There is a piece of trim missing on the upper right side and it appears that there was once a top ornament or finial of sorts that is missing (see photos). This item is part of an inherited estate. Thus, time accuracy is not guaranteed. Please see photos for details and feel free to message with any questions.
