9 Rare Early Kestner #169. AS “LITTLE MISS MUFFET”. Fully Jointed Cabinet Doll. From the Mary Ann Hall Collection. Original Antique Doll – Made in Germany. Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider, who sat down beside her… And she convinced the dear spider to stay! Mary Ann only collected the very best dolls. Little Miss Muffet Has Learned to Share! – Here you have a darling rare, early 9 Kestner 169 child, with closed mouth, on a fully-jointed composition body with straight wrists. Her bisque head is marked only with a “C”, the mold number 169, “Made in Germany, ” and what may be another “C” on the left (though it is faint). She has a lovely face, with bright blue glass paperweight (stationary) eyes. Her body in excellent original condition, with her original and beautiful full blond wig. After extensive research, I found that this doll is extremely rare and almost impossible to find, especially in great condition like this one. And she’s from a fine, reputable collection. She comes dressed in a Little Miss Muffet outfit, with her tuffet seat, an oh-so-cute felted spider, 2 bowls of “curds and whey, ” and two spoons… Because, of course, she has learned to share! Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues noticed on the bisque after careful examination. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads (if they had them), not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not. They are to be expected. I’LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER. If you live in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, or U. RARE EARLY 29 ANTIQUE SIMON HALBIG 949 GERMAN BISQUE DOLL – C. 1880 This rare doll is out of an estate, and is in nice condition for the age with no chips, cracks, or repairs to the head – original body, some wear – original cork pate (see pics). She has a swivel bisque head with the original cork pate – like a French fashion, and she has working brown sleep eyes, and vintage clothing – including a genuine Tiger Eye necklace (not as old as the doll), and fabulous antique shoes. We are offering her for starting for the 2006 listing in the Foulke Price Guide for a 21 doll. RARE 15 Antique Bisque Doll Belton Type, Early Original Body, Straight Wrists

Sorry for any inconvenience! German French Bisque DOLL 15 IN. Cabinet Size with Open Closed Mouth. 8 Ball body in excellent condition for age. Beautiful Original Antique Brown eye. There are paint rubs and marks here and there, but no repaint… Damage at back of neck and damage to 1 thumb see all pictures! Shoulder has separation on one side but does not effect doll. Piece that holds head is very snug but has dropped a little. You may chose to reposition or reglue.. But head does hold. 2 holes in top of head. There is no damage to the bisque head. No chips, hairlines or repairs. It is simply incised 8. Lovely addition to any collection.. Don’t let her slip away. It becomes buyers responsibility. German French Bisque DOLL 15 IN. Cabinet Size with Open Closed Mouth. 8 Ball body in excellent condition for age. Beautiful Original Antique Brown eye.
