Beautiful Early Big Antique Staffordshire Dog’s. 12″&1/2 Inches tall and 9″&1/2 inches across bottom. Each One weights in at over 4 pounds. Beautiful Early Big Rare Antique Staffordshire Dog’s. Typical old base does not have casting holes. Note typical flaws such as firing lines, glaze frizzle, bumps and pitting(Shown in Photo’s with green arrow as you will see a bump and un-glazed spot on back tail on one) 3. Paint from the sides has dripped down over the edges of the base like on these you will see. Shows fine brush strokes on the muzzle and two dog’s are never painted the same like these two. Firing holes were made to release expanding gas which builds up inside hollow figures during firing. Typical firing holes average about one-eighth inch in diameter. Firing holes may or may not be present in original dogs. They may appear in the base or other locations such as the back 6. Most gold trim used on original dogs has a softer appearance than new gold trim & rarely has a mirror-like reflection, it is usually dull and almost always shows some random wear. Crazing in new glazes is often darkened with shoe polish, dark paint or vegetable stains either at the place of manufacture or after a piece has entered the market. The One to the right has some damage-either from it’s age or it took a bump at some point it’s very long life. The good news is-it looks to have never come apart into pieces-it’s tight and this area and not at all loose or coming apart. If you look at the detailed photo’s at the bottom with “small stick on green arrows” you will see where the damage suddenly stops. This is the only area of damage to both dogs. Up for sale is a very early and rare antique 18s Hamilton 17 jewel grade 936 pocket watch. This watch is serial number 925 and was made in 1894. Movement : This watch runs great and keeps good time. The beautiful original lever set movement is in very nice condition, is adjusted, is Rail Road grade, and has 17 jewels. It has all matching serial numbers including the balance wheel! Dial : The original dial is in good condition but it does have cracks. The hands are the original. Case : The gold filled case is in good condition. The covers work as they should. The case shows light normal pocket wear. This is not the original case but it is correct. This rare and very special watch is ready to display or carry! Antique McFarlane Calculating Cylinder Rare Early Calculator 1830 Museum Piece

On offer here is a very rare early calculator dating from about 1830/1835 used of accounting or financial calculations. One of the earliest calculators. Made by McFarlane of Glasgow, it comprises printed paper on wooden rolls held together by screwed on mahogany end plates. It looks in good condition for its age although there is an overall age related. Discolouration on the printed paper but still quite readable. No rips or tears. Please study my pictures as they form part of my description. We post daily, but we sometimes are unable to post on a Saturday. We always attempt to describe our items accurately and honestly. It looks beautiful on a pair of pants, skirt or dress, really does a lot to embellish say a black dress or so.
