This antique lock mechanism is a rare find for collectors of wrought iron hardware. Dating back to the 17th or 18th century, it is a testament to the craftsmanship of the time and features a unique design that will add character to any collection. The lock is of the lock-keep type and is made of high-quality wrought iron. It is an antique original and would make a great addition to any architectural or garden project.
Unbelievably cool old lock in good working condition. It does turn a bit tight but go slowly and gently and it opens right up. Crude construction suggests very early age, I might even be of by a couple hundred years.
This early 17th century brass bowl with open work is full arabic writing with holy Quran surah and darood sharif in the glory’s of prophet Muhammad and his family hazrat Ali and 12 imam very rare. This jug has a slipware style decoration running vertical with further black motifs. Also incised multi band decoration running round the bottle.
