B & G Bing & Grondahl Kingdom of Denmark 5 1/2 Figurine # 40 Artist Painting. Most likely made during the first half of the reign of King Christian X of Denmark. Very rare & special hand painted figurine. Made by B & G – Bing & Grondahl. Cannot find another one like this on line. This is so unlike their later works. Young man painting a scene. Unbelievable attention to detail. Measures about 3 1/4″ by 4″ at the base & 5 1/2 high. Marked on the base “B & G Kjebenhavn Danmark Made in Denmark” w/ logo. There are also other impressed marks.
