A Rare Very Early Antique Noritake Twin Handled Lidded Floral Pastel Vase c1902. A beautiful and very rare, early Noritake twin-handled, lidded floral vase bearing the single blue Noritake Komura mark to the base, dating the vase to >1902. The vase is of a beautiful four-footed pedestal form with twin open-top handles and lid with pointed finial. The vase is intricately hand-decorated with pink, purple and yellow blossoms with foliage and beautiful gilt beading and scrollwork on a white and turquoise ground. A really wonderful, early collector’s item. The vase is in quite remarkable condition with no chips or cracks to the body even the handles are good! But there is a little rubbing to the gilt around the topmost rim. The lid has been broken but professionally restored with the damage almost invisible to the outward facing area. Outstanding Rare Large Red Consolidated Art Glass Pigeon Blood Bittersweet Vase
Posted by admin On May 18, 2023
A Fabulous 1920’s Antique Red Vase. Collectors of Consolidated / Phoenix Glassware know that red pieces are very rare and desirable! This wonderful Bittersweet Vase is believed to be the work of Reuben Haley as part of the much sought-after Martele Line. It measures about 9-5/8″ tall and 5-1/4″ wide. The opening is about 3-1/4 wide. My grandmother was a well-known life-long antique glass collector here in Minnesota. In the 1970’s, she gave this vase to my mother, who is also an antique glass collector. The color is a deep ruby red or pigeon blood color. There are bubbles inside the glass, and a few other manufacturing inconsistencies, which attest to the age and authenticity of this piece. There is very minor wear and a couple tiny pinpricks along the rim, from years of careful enjoyment. Nothing interferes with the beauty of this piece. An essential item for a serious collector. See my other auctions and save more! This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Decorative Pottery & Glassware\Vases”. The seller is “makehappytime” and is located in this country: US.
