ENGRAVED STONE FROM ORIGINAL 1918 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FACTORY IN. The stone you get is the one pictured. An addition was built in 1918 at the original Harley-Davidson Milwaukee, WI, plant. This was one of the ORIGINAL STONES that was used around the windows and doors of the Harley-Davidson 1918 structure!!! Around 2002 the wing was knocked down and put into storage at the Harley-Davidson Museum there. Each comes with a letter of authenticity which tells the story and chain of control of them. Each COA is hand-signed and has a unique individually numbered hologram attached. You will get the stone pictured. What a great gift…. What a great cause… Its a win-win, that’s for sure. What Harley person wouldn’t LOVE this! Dale Beatty and John Gallina (pictured at bottom of the COA) were injured in a Humvee in Iraq in 2004. Dale lost both legs, John suffered traumatic brain injuries. They could have chosen to respond any way to these disabling injuries, but they chose to not allow their injuries hold them back. They founded Purple Heart Homes, and in fact were pictured on the cover of TIME’s 2011 cover under the caption “The New Greatest Generation”. Dale unexpected passed away last year, but John and their team carry on. John shys away from individual recognition, but is rightfully-so proud of their charity and what it has done for our veterans. The charity fixes up houses to help our veterans out by building ramps, widen doorways, insulating, installing new electric wires, hot water heaters, and much more – at NO COST to the veteran! It is all funded from donations and fundraisers like this. They also have a program where they refurbish entire homes and sell them to the veteran at 50% of the home’s value. What a great program! Also, if this is a bit out of your price range, please check my other auctions as I also have all the bricks from the structure too, and have put a nice plaque on them. Rare Late 18th-Early 19th C. PIETRA DURA Hard Stone / Marble 10.5 Obelisk

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a very unusual antique Pietra Dura hard stone inlaid on marble obelisk. This nice obelisk is made of black marble and features a panel with Pietra Dura hard stone inlay decoration with beautiful coloration in the stones. Measures 10 5/8″ high with the square base measuring 3 5/8″ in diameter. Weights 2.6 pounds. This gorgeous obelisk is in excellent Estate condition with only some small nicks in the marble as expected with items of this age. The flaws are minor no-harm nicks around the bottom edges otherwise the piece is in excellent Estate condition. The Pietra Dura is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. We actually have a matched pair of these lovely obelisk, however, this listing is for one only with the second one available at the same price if you wish to display as a pair. Please note that the second one is also in very good to excellent Estate condition similar in wear as the one listed above, however, the tower section of the obelisk is slightly loose and needs to be tightened which we will leave to the new owner. On offer is a beautiful early antique, Victorian taxidermy. A cased specimen of a Stone Curlew standing on naturalistic base amongst foliage. Charming piece of Victorian taxidermy, glazed to front, typical style of the period. Has 2 ring hooks to hang up or can be displayed on table / side board. Wear commensurate with age’as found’ condition. The bits is in good order with some fading present, notible to tip of beak, as is often the norm. There are water marks and stains to the blue background inside the roof and top back of the interior – possibly some dampness damage sustained over the years (pictured). Certainly does nothing to detract & displays beautifully just as it is. Please note that the item is vintage and does show signs of its age such as tarnish, surface wear, marks etc. Our photographs form an important part of the item description and should be examined carefully.
