This is a high quality Raingo clock in excellent original condition, rare for its quality and for its unchipped, uncracked condition after nearly 200yrs. Case – very little rub to original gilding and painting. Movement – 8 day striking hour and half hour on a light tinkering bell suitable for the boudoir. Dial – silvered engine turned – Silver age patinated – can be cleaned if preferred but not recommended. Sizes – Clock – 33x18x13cm. S- Please view all the photos as they form an important part of the description. Photos taken on iPad without enhancement. Answer to question;- yes the swinging pendulum is visible from outside the clock. It swings between the bottom of the clock and the base and is quite mesmeric to sit and watch. Sorry That I forgot. They are far too fine to have been dressing tablemats and the characterful paintings appear as if they are from a story. It’s not a story I know or have been able to uncover but they look like illustrations from a. Believed to be from the early 1900s. They are on gossamer-thin silk with a fringed edge and measure 15cms x 15cms. I have taken half of the photos with flash and the others without. I wanted to show that several have a couple of minor brown’foxing-like’ marks and two have many more. The silk appears in good condition structurally. ANTIQUE from 1900- 1920’s CHINESE CANTONESE EMBROIDERED SILK PIANO SHAWL! On a rare beautiful burgundy/ wine color silk material finely embroidered in the same color silk threads using finest satin stitches. Features beautiful blooming flowers and foliage. Extremely finely worked piece- just look at the pictures! The shawl measures 62″ (157.5 cm) x 58″ (147.32 cm) not counting woven border with fringes, which measure additional 10.5 (26.7 cm) long. Condition: good/ fair antique condition with some damages and imperfections such as tearing and repair in at least 1 spot, couple of big needle made- like holes, one spot with a little fading (on the reverse side only, invisible from the face), and overall some general staining. This rare example of Antique Metallic Embroidery from the Early Qing Dynasty in the 1700s is a fragment from a silk robe. It is a long length of faded silk damask that is embellished with floral motifs and butterflies in a fine metallic soutache work. Every motif is different. The pink of the fabric is faded as you can see from the reverse side but this does not detract from the beauty of this piece in fact for me it enhances its ancient charm. Measures approx 68ins x 16.5ins. Condition: Good for its age. Some frayed areas to the binding edge but otherwise the silk ground although faded is generally quite good and not splitting. The tapestry features an elderly scholar sitting on a rock with a student boy petting a goose and 2 more geese around them. The Kesi measures 41″ (104 cm) long x 19″ (48.3 cm) wide. ANTIQUE from 1900- 1920’s CHINESE CANTONESE EMBROIDERED SILK PIANO SHAWL! On a rare beautiful burgundy/ wine color silk material finely embroidered in the same color silk threads using finest satin stitches. Features beautiful blooming flowers and foliage. Extremely finely worked piece- just look at the pictures! The shawl measures 62″ (157.5 cm) x 58″ (147.32 cm) not counting woven border with fringes, which measure additional 10.5 (26.7 cm) long. Condition: good/ fair antique condition with some damages and imperfections such as tearing and repair in at least 1 spot, couple of big needle made- like holes, one spot with a little fading (on the reverse side only, invisible from the face), and overall some general staining. RARE ANTIQUE BEGINNING OF the 20th CENTURY CHINESE 2- SIDED SILK KESI TAPESTRY! The tapestry features an elderly scholar sitting on a rock with a student boy petting a goose and 2 more geese around them. The Kesi measures 41″ (104 cm) long x 19″ (48.3 cm) wide. Condition: VERY GOOD antique condition with no damages or imperfections aside some remains of paper and slight staining on the edges as the panel used to be framed, attached to backing, and covered with glass. Use the pictures as a part o f the condition report! This kesi tapestry makes a beau tiful display and will be a valuable addition to any collection!
