ONLY ONE ABUMI NOT A PAIR. Made of iron and decorated with silver application and inlay this piece is truly unique. Collectors will be happy to see that this piece is signed. It is signed on the top section of the top support with several characters, see photos. The front of the abumi is decorated with a beautiful bird which is decorated in silver on the iron abumi. The bottom of the abumi shows some age rust which I left as found. The inside of the abumi is decorated with abalone or metallic type flakes. The piece measures approx 12 long x 9 1/2 high x 5 1/4 wide. Overall in nice condition but I do see that the small bar for the buckle is missing. From a private collection, this doll is all original. Stamped “J” on head (see picture). Spiral spring neck attachment and pressed bisque socket head. Blue stamped body: “Jumeau Medaille D’or Paris” (see picture). 8 Ball jointed composition & wood straight wrist body. N very good condition, some signs of wear, slight flaking on one of the thumbs (see pic). Stunning face, blush complexion, beautiful deep blue eyes, pierced ears, closed mouth, blond long curly wig. Blue silk Taffeta dress with grosgrain ribbon & bow on back waist. Pin at neck and 3 buttons down front of bodice. Fixed under-petticoat sewn to dress + 2 cotton petticoats and vest and long bloomers with lace around the bottom. Lace slightly coming away on one leg (see picture). Slight wear / fading on the dress. Hat: same fabric as dress with grosgrain ribbon and brooch at front, and bow on the back. Knitted white cotton socks. Shoes: Original stamped E. This is an absolutely beautiful huge signed Hawkes 11 1/2 salad bowl cut in a beautiful pattern on an ultra clear super heavy 9 LB. The hobstar in the center of this bowl really has no equal and is probably the best example of this motif that I have seen. Definitely cut by a master cutter. The clarity, thickness, and weight of this piece is outstanding. In some spots this blank is 5/8 thick. This piece has numerous chips to the teeth and two are pretty serious, but I think it could all be recut and it would be hard to know. The rest looks pretty good with a couple small chips here or there in the pattern. All in all a fantastic piece in need of some restoration. I handle a lot of glass and this is a very nice piece. Baxter – Early RARE SIGNED 1900’s Steiff C1908 Teddy Bear Antique Old FF BUTTON. Introducing Baxter – I love him! He dates to around 1908 and was made by Steiff. He is fully jointed, stuffed with woodwool and stands around 16.5inches tall from toe to ear tip! He really is such a joyous bear!!!! He retains his original boot button eyes, felt pads, original facial and claw stitching. He also retains his original burnt orange ribbon and ff button to his ear! Is also extra special as during the 1980’s his owner took him to get his foot autographed by Steiff Family members; Hans-Otto Steiff (who was president of Steiff, and his great grand-aunt was Margarete Steiff) and his wife Birgit Eitle Steiff! Baxter is covered in lots of fluffy blonde mohair with long limbs and a hump. He has a really friendly smiley face and would be an extra special addition for any antique bear collector. It feels a privilege to hold such a wonderful bear who is over a century old!!!!
