Fine Antique Early Inaba Signed Japanese Cloisonne Vase – Rare Mark w/ Bird. Beautiful yusen -jippo style Japanese cloisonne enamel vase. High gloss black ground with wonderful colors in flowers, foliage and perched bird. Exceptional silver wire cloisonne work. Matching geometric borders at top and base attest to the high quality of this vase. Solid, heavy vase for size. Very old, rare marking of early Inaba with a finer detailed version of the now common Inaba mark we now see. I could not find a good example in my ref materials, but the prior owner referenced the following. Inaba Shichiho was the founder of early Inaba cloisonne workshops which became the modern day Inaba Company. Gary Yoshino’s excellent reference guide, “Japanese Cloisonne Enamels”, p 182, describes early detailed examples. That rivaled works of Hayashi Kodenji.. Certainly a rare mark. Anyone with more information, please share. Approximately 6 1/4″ Tall, 3 1/4″ Wide. Excellent condition for very old age. No cracks, chips or any damage to enamel. No dents to rims but show normal wear. Nicely signed, older pieces are getting harder to find. Please check my other listings. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic antique Norwegian hand-blown glass fishing float featuring the rare and iconic “Three Crossed Fishes” embossed glass seal stamp. Color: Deep Olive / Forest Green. Seal Condition: The glass button is fully intact and solid, showcasing a strong and readable triple-fish mark. Antique Mason's Blue Pheasants Ironstone Plate 9¾ c1815-25 RARE Early Mark
A particularly attractive early Mason’s blue and white transferware plate featuring the highly collectable Blue Pheasants pattern, with birds amongst peonies and foliage surrounded by an elaborate Chinoiserie floral and geometric border. The plate has an elegant scalloped / indented rim and measures approximately 9¾ inches (24.8 cm) in diameter. MARKS & DATE The reverse carries the blue printed Mason’s crown and scroll “Patent Ironstone China” mark together with the early straight-line impressed: MASON’S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA The impressed mark is an important early Mason’s feature and supports an early 19th-century date. This is retained as part of the plate’s history; the handwritten dating and valuation are those of a previous owner/dealer. CONDITION Very good structural condition considering its age. No chips, cracks or restoration found. The plate gives a clear ring when lightly tapped. There is noticeable age and use-related wear to the glazed surface, including areas of reduced lustre, surface scratching and rubbing. There is also age-related discolouration/scuffing around the outer reverse rim and minor historic wear/marks to the foot rim. These areas have deliberately been photographed closely and should be viewed as part of the condition description. The plate has been gently cleaned and given a very light application of conservation-grade microcrystalline wax. A handsome and increasingly scarce example of early Mason’s Ironstone, now approximately 200 years old. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.

Stunning and Very Unusual Chinese Hand Painted Blue & White Tennis Set, cup and footed saucer with fluted area for cake or biscuit. Beautifully painted with Rabbits and foliage. Marked to base with six character mark. Very Good overall vintage or antique condition. Some age related wear to gilding in places, marks to glazing/porcelain (especially inside cup), and tiny hairline just appearing from rim for a few mm. From smoke and pet free home. C1875 Rare Early Mark Antique Aynsley Imari Porcelain Coffee Can Cup & Saucer. A rather lovely and scarce early Aynsley porcelain coffee can & saucer, dating to late 19th century. All handpainted with a floral imari design in underglaze blue, iron red green and gilt. Early marks to bases date the set to c1875. Fine, original and undamaged condition throughout; decoration and gilding remain extremely well preserved. No cracks, crazing or discolouration. Saucer measures 13.5cm diameter.

I have for sale a rare George I silver kitchen pepper. The base has only been struck with the makers mark which is quite usual for early small pieces of silver. I have not been able identify the maker, It looks as if the makers mark has been struck several times but it is only clear in one of the marks. The style and design clearly dates this to the early 18th century, most likely George I but no later then George II and certainly pre 1740. It is in very good condition, the only minor damage is to the pierced top in a couple of areas however this is acceptable and to be expected from a piece of this age. The pepper measures 2 3/4 inches high.
