Some repair stitching on both arms but does not detract from the beauty. At some time replacement paws and pads. Black boot button eyes nose thread worn. Add threetreefrogs to favourites. EXCEPTIONALLY FINE AND RARE EARLY MEISSEN LIDDED SAUCE TUREEN. Presenting a magnificent 18th Century soft paste porcelain tureen and cover naturalistically modelled into the of a nesting dove / pigeon. This exceptional example was produced by the quality German makers, Meissen, circa mid to late 1700s. The beautifully modelled dove is seated upon a basket moulded base with applied shredded clay foliage trimming the top of the nest. This piece is wonderfully finished in naturalistic glazes. SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 120mms tall, measures 195mms in length and 78mms in width. CONDITION: This piece is presented in very good antique condition with some exceptionally minor losses to the shredded clay foliage noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. There appears to be a minor old repair to one side of the birds tail which has been professionally done and incredibly hard to spot. We had to take a magnifyer to the piece and even then it was hard to detect. There is a minuscule fleabite sized nibble to the top of the crest upon the birds head and the tiniest rough spot to the tip of the birds beak. There is some internal staining which we have not attempted to bleach out or remove in any way and should be able to be lessened in the new owners preferred manner. Light overall surface crazing mentioned for accuracy. This authentic antique example has survived exceptionally well and presents spectacularly. MARKS: The unglazed base is beautifully marked with Meissen’s brushed blue crossed swords. Early Meissen examples such as this fine figural tureen are highly desirable and feature in top Museum collections. This stunning piece would make an outstanding addition to any early Meissen, quality antique porcelain or figural tureen collection! Shop Pottery & Ceramics. Very rare Antique Vintage Early German Schuco Mohair yes/no panda Bear 12 very NICE all original – bit mohair wear & but wear to left foot pad. White has turned off white a bit due to age. Vintage early Schuco yes/no teddy bear. He still has the tail covering. He stands 12 tall. I believe he is from the 1920’s /30s. Please look carefully at all of the photos for condition.

An Antique German Handmade Oxblood Tornado’Grenier’ Marble. This very collectible and interesting early antique marble was hand made between 1850 and 1860. It is among the earliest type of handmade German glass marbles, from an important and formative period in history of marble making. Grenier’ marbles are consequently highly sought after by collectors and marble historians alike. They are now known as known as’transitional’ marbles due to being produced during a short period of time in Thuringa, Germany; before the cane and rod types. They were handmade by the Grenier family using a hand-gathered technique of swirling and forming the marble; in this case this has created an embryonic floating form within, surrounded by tornado-style swirl-and-tail patterns with a perfect’9′ in generous helping of very dark cochineal oxblood from tip to tail. With whiplash lines and creamy white, in a translucent, galactic base. It is finished with a finely crafted single ground faceted pontil, in the manner of all Greniers; and remains true to type with the muted, sophiticated colours, and beautiful, spontaneous abstraction of design. A real collector’s marble. Size: 21.5mm or 0.84” or 27/32” inch. Condition: In very good condition for it’s age, this marble has a chip near the pontil and a patch of pitting. The wear is all upon one side only; as can be clearly seen in the pictures and video. The slightly textured appearence is a hallmark of this type. Up for your consideration is this RARE C. 1930 BEAUTIFUL Antique Gebruder Plein German Porcelain – Budgerigar / Budgie Bird Figurine. 3 1/4″ high x 7″ long x 3 deep. It has a tiny chip at the tip of the tail that has been touched up and a hairline crack across the end of the tail feather. These are both hard to see but mentioned for accuracy (see last photo). Company mark on the bottom with HANDGEMALL (Hand Painted). Clean from a pet free, smoke free environment. Please check out my other auctions for more cool stuff. I have provided several pictures.
