Early Antique Rare Kaiser Face Composition Black Baby Doll KR Kammer Reinhardt

This is a very hard to find early composition doll using a Kaiser face bisque mold. Though unmarked, this baby was obviously a transitional doll when doll companies were switching from bisque to composition but still using their bisque face molds. He has a jointed cloth body and is wearing his original blue and white polka dot romper with blue buttons. This mold came in either black or white composition, but being black and transitional, is even harder to find. They came in either cloth or composition bodies. I have a white one with a composition body but it is not in as pristine condition as this beautiful baby. No damages to report, completely perfect. No repairs or touch ups, no leaking body. This and the black Dream Baby I have listed came from the original family from the same child. TEDDY BEAR NOT INCLUDED. This is an early antique 19 American Cloth Doll with an oil painted head. The seam on the head runs down both sides, down the back, and down the front of the head. The hair and facial features are very nicely painted. There is a split on the cloth up above the forehead. The body is cloth with mitten type hands. Painted areas show wear, but is all original. Wonderful and rare antique French doll, Jumeau Triste Doll, on early French Composition Ball Jointed Body with straight wrists, 24 tall. She is known as the long face Jumeau, as she has a wistful expression. She was only made from. 1893 to 1898, by the French sculptor Carrier-Belleuse, as commissioned by Jumeau to make this very special doll. She wears a wonderful silk lined, wine red velvet & lace dress, with a bebe bonnet. She has a full slip and pantaloons with lace. She has all her fingers, Closed mouth, Incised on the back of her head is “11”. This Jumeau Triste is one of the most stunning examples of this rare and much sought after antique French doll. She has one of the most beautiful faces of this model. Her bisque head shows no chips or cracks. There is a restoration inside front top of head that is not visible outside of the face. There is a hairline inside top right of head that is not visible on the outside of the face. The body has been repainted. She has one earring, applied ears. She has fixed bulging brown eyes, silk stockings, leather shoes. A beautiful blond wig with long curls, marked in label 100% cheveux naturels. Made in France, 100 % human hair wig, and replaced cork pate. Body is cloth stuffed with sawdust. She is 9.5 tall. Her clothing is all original and in excellent shape. Head, arms and legs are hand painted. Paint on face is cracked and partially flaked off. Condition: Multiple hairline cracks and crazing to her face. Paint loss and crazing to head, hairdo, front and back. Overall normal wear from age. No issues with arms and legs.
