This beautiful piece is a vintage Heisey custard glass pedestal compote. Produced in the late 1800s to early 1900s, this Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) piece features an opaque, creamy yellow body with a stunning opalescent finish along the flared base and scalloped rim. The molded design displays a distinctive Greek key border paired with a beaded swag rim, a classic antique motif. Heisey did not typically add their signature diamond-H mark to their custard and opal glass formulations, but the specific pattern configurations firmly attribute it to their early production era. Because it is authentic custard glass, it contains uranium. If you shine a UV blacklight on this compote in a dark room, it will glow a brilliant, vivid neon green. This is a beautiful and rare piece!
