For sale: A rare ESSE Jeunesse No. 2 Patent Inset Stove, manufactured in Bonnybridge, Scotland by ESSE – a trusted British stove maker since the 1800s. Condition: Original cast iron in good overall condition for its age. All doors open/close well, firebox is clean and solid, ornate detailing intact. Please note: the ashpan, side and top grilles, and replaceable front glass are missing. No cracks or major rust. Not tested in use. Heritage: This model is an original inset stove from the early 1900s and is considered a collector’s item, featured in the ESSE heritage archives. Weight: 80 kg (two-person lift). Use: Ideal as a decorative or collector’s piece, or a great candidate for restoration for use in a period property project. Collection: From London, UK. This mailbox was originally covered in a redish brown paint. I removed the paint and did a reseasoning of the cast iron. Great condition for the age! Measures aprox 12.5″ tall 6″ wide and mounting bolt holes are 10 on center apart.
