Rare early Berlin figure of a boy eating grapes, modelled seated with basket of grapes to one side, arm raised with bunch before his mouth, dressed in yellow breeches and flower embroidered coat, on a low base with gilt rococo scrolls. Condition: raised arm re-stuck, big toe restored. Wegely’s Berlin factory was a short-lived affair, opening in 1752 and closing in 1757. Please see the Gallery at top for full-sized photos.
