Rare Antique 18th C. Early Americana Wood Forged Iron Nail Soapstone Foot Warmer

Thank you + HAPPY Treasure Hunting! A Rare Antique 18th C. Early Americana Wood and Forged Iron Nail Soapstone Foot Warmer. The closure end piece of wood does have some play from years of the stone pressing against. It will protrude about 1/2 and can be pressed back. I’ve provided pics of it in both positions. I believe a small piece of the top vent has come off which would have been attached to the end, and thus the reason for the slight play. Otherwise, it has beautiful age wear and rounded edges. Forged iron nails throughout. Great representation of an early and scarce style foot warmer. Measures: 10-1/4″L x 7-1/2″W x 3-1/4H. Please see pics as they are part of description as well.
