EARLY SOLID SILVER FOLDING CAMPAIGN FORK c1750s MILITARY RARE GEORGIAN ANTIQUE
September 9, 2018
A very rare early silver folding campaign fork. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I do not know where it was made but would think Northern Europe – France, Belgium, Holland. It has been superbly handmade having a hinged joint allowing the fork to fold out and lock. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs and works perfectly. It measures almost 6.5 inches (16.2cms) long fully open by 0.75 inch (1.9cms) wide and weights 33 grams. A very interesting and rare piece.
