ANTIQUE COLONIAL STYLE EYEGLASSES, SLIDING SIDES COSTUME, RARE EARLY OPTICAL. Very Rare Antique Eye Glasses, c. With Sliding Side Bows (stamped 18 on outside of bow). VERY NICE, early pair of antique eye-glasses measuring approximately 4.5″ across the front with the bow length measuring 4-1/8″ unextended x 6 extended. Excellent condition overall although light scratches on the lense. ANTIQUE GLASSES ARE ALWAYS NICE, AND THIS PAIR HAS IT ALL FOR ANY COLLECTION OF EARLY PERIOD PERSONAL ITEMS OR EYEGLASSES DISPLAY OR COLLECTION. YOU COULD ALSO REPLACE LENSES WITH YOUR OWN PRESCRIPTION LENSES, If desired, FOR A REALLY GREAT EARLY 1800 LOOK!!! Lenses have nice “extending” side bows to help adjustment to different size heads. They also have holes on the end, which would allow for a ribbon or cord to be fed through and tied, to help hold them on if they were not tight enough. Really nice, early style, AND STILL IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION with both lenses intact. Complete and usable or a nice item to add to a variety of collections.
