Description: Here we have a very unique and rare Bronze Egyptian Door knob! This is around 1890s- 1900s. This is a lot more heavy duty and heavy than a lot of doorknobs Ive had. Great subject matter and patina. I was told that this came out of the Eagles Nest in Long Island which was owned by one of the Vanderbilts. This could also be Tiffany, as that house was very finely put together with the highest of quality things, along with a lot of Tiffany. Nice condition for the age. A Great Addition to Any Collection. Look at All of our other amazing pieces.. Stay tuned for more as we will be listing many more treasures. Antique Sewing Machine Rare Early 1900s VESTA B Working L O Dietrich Germany. This beautiful sewing machine was produced by Vesta, who manufactured sewing machines in the Leipzig/Altenburg area of Germany between the late 1800s and 1938. The company was originally formed by 3 locksmiths, Leopold O. Dietrich, Hermann Köhler and Gustav Winselmann. They had very limited experience in producing sewing machines and initial were “inspired by” SINGER machines, but would eventually produce their own designs. Had left and established a new factory in Altenburg under the VESTA name, whilst the other two founders would form their own company. Post WW2, the company never restarted as a private enterprise and reopened as’VEB Sewing Machine Works Altenburg’ and would continue until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990. Vesta produced a number of models, with this particular example being a VESTA-B and bearing the serial number S1256729. Vesta machines are rare in the UK, particularly for machines which are working and in good cosmetic condition. Furthermore, this example comes with original spare parts, spare needles in an original pack, and an original Vesta manual/parts list (all in excellent condition for their age). The sewing machine is in good order and sews well (see pictures 11 and 12 for example of output). Cosmetically, the machine is in very good condition for its age, with only minor wear to the decals. The case has seen some woodworm at some point, but it does not appear to be a major issue and is otherwise in good condition. In the latter case, we will send you an invoice ASAP. Some of the exceptions to these rules are as follows. Items over 15 KG will be issued via an alternate courier service, which will be sent in conjunction with ParcelMonkey. This is an interesting little verge fusee carriage clock. I believe it to be English, but have not researched the clock in any way. The movement looks like a watch movement, but the plates are square so I dont think it is. The dial is silvered and nicely engraved and the clock runs. I did not test it for accuracy. I think that the tip of the minute hand is missing. The brass case has a nice patina. I notice that two of the four dial screws are missing. This is a rare and early clock and I doubt your going to see anything similar so dont miss it! Antique Westinghouse Brass Blade & Guard Desk Fan Early Rare Original Paint Nice. 12 Westinghouse Stationary Desk Fan 104V 133CY circa 1905-06. Restored approximately 25 years ago. Seldom seen rare 133 Cycle. 1st version of Tank Fan right after the Pancake. Larger Vent Holes, Smooth yoke, Struts attach directly to round profile, Solid ring guard center. Early switch with no threaded hole to hold fiber plate, different base design. Early collector quality fan for the Westinghouse Collector. Very rare version in a very rare cycle, (Tesla’s original cycle design). This fan has been in my possession for over 25 years. It was restored preserving the stunning original paint, if any touch up was done it was only lightly(not over done) touched up using PPG or Glasurit automotive single stage urethane. The fan is 100% original Westinghouse. The blade and guard are both original Westinghouse as is all the brass. The original blade that came on the fan when found at a flea market was actually a cast brass hub early Tank blade that had two wings sawed off. Being an impossible blade to locate, we used a stamped brass hub blade that Westinghouse quickly adopted on the early Tanks. I have not tested it lately, but it ran when first restored. I only displayed it through the years because of the 133 cycles only allowed it to run a short while at about 1/2 speed. It was only shown to a handful of collectors and has never been shown at Fan Fair, so it has largely been incognito through the years. I displayed it at home without a cord, because I considered it a nuisance on the shelf. Please ask any questions and I will be happy to answer. Out of curiosity and some request, I checked to see if the fan would run. I was unable to make it run through the switch though the switch is complete and the coil does not appear to be burned out. I bypassed the switch and was able to get it to run directly to the head wire after a push on the blade. Please see all images for a pictorial description and ask any questions.
