I believe this to be from the 1700’s. Just come off an Old farm in Lancaster county Pennsylvania. It looks good for what it is and it should still be in working order everything seems nice and sturdy. A Unusual Good Early Wrought Iron Rushlight Rushnip Primitive rare Welsh. This is from my own collection, it’s a great piece the base is very unusual , the blacksmith has repurposed a ancient scrap horseshoe if you look closely , it’s not unusual for bases to be old turned wood pieces repurposed but I have never seen this done before, it is genuine and untouched and unchanged a good size 10.25 inches high , a very nice piece for your collection.
