Vintage Steamer Trunk Luggage Chest with Rare Original Inner Lift-Out Tray

Item is a brown characterful, distressed antique/vintage steamer trunk with original green and cream striped lift-out tray. Interior also green and cream striped. Features wooden bands and metal reinforcement. The metal clasps are in good working order. The lock opens and shuts easily, but there is no key. Date unknown but probably made early 20th century. Inscribed with the letters “DA”. The trunk belonged to my grandfather, David Auchterlonie who lived in Grangemouth. There are signs of distress and some damage consistent with authentic patina of a trunk of this age but is structurally sound (see photographs). Could be used as a coffee table or end-of-bed blanket store. Approximate dimensions (cm) 51x33x77.

Antique Silver Plated Cruet Set & Tray -Rare Cayenne bottle Early 20th century

An absolutely fantastic antique cruet set with beautifully preserved original cut crystal bottles. The carving is crisp and elegant. The proportions are beautifully balanced. And yes – it includes the rare cayenne pepper bottle with its pierced top, still present and intact. There are clearly visible maker’s marks on the stand. What I can say with confidence: it is an English silver-plated set from the early 20th century, solidly made and thoughtfully designed. The silver plate shows noticeable wear along the edges and on the upper handle, with warm brass tones coming through in places. This is honest age-related wear and consistent with its age. Structurally, it is strong and stable. The glass is in very good condition. No chips or cracks observed. The set has been carefully cleaned and gently polished where appropriate. The condition visible in the photographs is exactly as described – what you see is what you will receive. No hidden defects, no structural issues, no unpleasant surprises. The silver tray is not original to the set. It has been intentionally paired to complement the cruet and create a stronger visual presence. Together, they can function not only as serving ware but as a refined centrepiece for a dining table or kitchen island. The tray may also be used separately if preferred. Some pieces reveal everything. Some keep a small secret.

A Rare Early Georgian Britannia Silver PEN TRAY Hallmarked London 1716 Maker Ha. No splits or repairs. A couple of really tiny dings to the base. Not out of shape are really good hallmarked for it’s age. Initials as shown to the centre. I no longer send to the USA. 15.5cm x 7.0cm.

Gorgeous RARE Victorian Crushed Glass trinket tray. Mahogany & banded inlaid frame. Leather trim on the back around the edge to prevent scratching on surface. Some slight discolouration in places (see Photo’s) but nothing detrimental. Dates to about C1820/1840.

Offering this rare antique metal tin 24 tube Candle mold. Measures 12.75 x 7 x 10.5 Tall. This piece has a black worn natural and original patinated surface. In good overall condition. Has a unique base tray. I’ve never had one like this before. Definitely a great addition to your homes collection. Can use berries or fillers to put on the tray. Expect minor imperfection consistent with age and use.

Heavy rare English antique / vintage art deco wall mirror or mirror glass display tray / stand with beautifully thick mirror plate and fancy cut bevelled edges. Condition: Would have previously been used as a display tray rather than a wall mirror and as such, has wear/scratches over the surface of the glass. Still beautiful and could still be used as a wall mirror. No chips and all aspects are sound and secure, including the metal rim, back, stud feet and hanging rings. It has been cleaned and is ready to use. Embossed to the back: Made in England. Measurements: 31.25cm x 31.25cm. Will be professionally packaged and dispatched promptly via a trackable service.
