A contemporary of John Burt who designed and created a caster for David’s son William and his wife-to-be, must have been quite an honor! Northey has pieces at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the famous silver collection at Yale University. In addition, he was master to his children who became well-known silversmiths-a family of makers! The delicate shellback which remains largely intact as far as wear goes, makes this wonderful spoon special, indeed. It remains in good antique condition (see exceptions in the condition description) with age appropriate wear, and bears a monogram EC to the handle. This is certainly a collector’s find! Length: 4 1/2in (11.4cm). 29 troy oz (9g). Browsing Silverware for Baby? See new store at.
