Very beautiful antique ring with a small peridot stone (7 x 5mm). The shank has lovely texturing all around. Unmarked, which is not unusual, but tested for gold. Please see pictures for details. Tiny hairline on the right side of the forehead, it is invisible to the naked eye, see photo. Beautiful expression of the face, closed mouth, beautiful blue eyes very clear fixed enamel, pierced ears. The head is marked on the back engraved at the top of the skull 3. Bisque pressed collar in perfect condition, no hairline no restoration. Antique wig in natural hair reported. Original body in skin entirely with gussets, fingers of the hands separate. There are pieces of tape on the wrists and on one foot to prevent sawdust from leaving. This Barrois fashion doll is dressed in an antique two-piece outfit (jacket that closes with all its hooks and in her blue checkered dress) and a superb blue silk hat with lace and a sock. A very fine and rare unusually large early 19. Century gilt brass Japanese bracket / table clock or Makura Dokei in need of restoration. The plated lantern type spring driven movement with balance wheel and verge escapement, the balance with silk suspension. Originally with striking and datework. Gilt brass case/frame beautifully engraved with foliate sprays and devices. Beautifully turned frame pillars. The going train is complete. A very fine and rare clock but in need of careful restoration. Please see images below. In unrestored condition and as seen. The whole clock retains its original gilding in exceptionally good condition. The movement is in very good condition but missing the striking train, he date wheels and the adjustable hour markers for the dial. The bow of the steel hand has broken off and is missing. The bell is original and rings perfectly. Overall height of clock to top of bell finial 13 cm (5 1/8). Top and bottom plates 11.7 cm x 6.4 cm 4 5. /8 x 2 1/2. Height frame excluding finials 8.8 cm (3 3/8). Packed weight 1.8 kg. Size 29 x 28 x 19 cm. Early 1800’s Pennsylvania Redware slipware plate. This is a rare size and measures only 6 3/4 in diameter. Beautiful pumpkin color with vibrant yellow slip. The yellow slip decoration is in a very rare three line swirl design. Very finely done uniform coggling around the rim. The plate has a few very fine scratches, and crazing consistent with age. There is one very small area of glaze loss in the center of the plate. No chips, hairlines, or repairs. Guaranteed to be a very rare and early plate. I collected slipware for almost 40 years and had an extensive collection of plates. This is the best of the best. Offered at a fraction of what I paid, and a fraction if its current value. This and one other spectacular plate that I have yet to list are the gems of my collection.
