An outstanding, characterful & rare early to mid 19th century pine one piece corner cabinet having two panelled doors both with working locks and keys, two fixed shelves in the top part and one fixed shelf in the bottom part, original hinges, original mouldings to the top, middle, bottom and both sides and original back panels with period steel banding. Dimensions: 102cm wide; 60cm deep;187cm high; 73.5cm from rear corner to front (along wall). In good strong condition, does have many marks and imperfections commensurate with age but these only add to its tremendous character. Just been hand prepared and waxed to a beautiful colour and finish. Customer collection now possible under the recently revised regulations. DELIVERIES DURING THE CURRENT PANDEMIC. Rare early 20th century pine chest of 9 drawers. These were purpose made for use in a small countryside post office. The chest has 9 slender drawers all of the same depth. Each drawers has central dividers and cut away sides (see photos). Constructed from waxed and stained pine with simple turned pine drawer pulls. Original makers label to inside one drawer (see photo 4). The chest is an ideal size to suit all homes, and its slender style allows it fit the smallest alcove perfectly. This is an unusual chest and one that will enhance both retail and domestic environments. 106.5cm height x 71.5cm wide x 47.5cm deep. LOVELY OLD ANTIQUE GEORGIAN BRASS DIAL LONGCASE CLOCK. JO Band of Bridgwater – 1760-79 (James Osmond Band). Early engraved brass dial 30 hour longcase clock. In a plain pine country case, lovely golden colour and patina – 81 high. Superb 11.5 square dial with fine spandrels, finely cut original hands, and large date wheel. All in exceptional condition and in good working order keeping excellent time. Chain driven movement striking the hours on a large bell. Ornate ringed pendulum bob. A very rare maker, I have never come across another Band clock. He was in partnership with a James Hine as braziers and ironmongers, in Bridgwater the business dissolving in 1772 when Hine moved to Exeter, and Band continued the business in Bridgwater. At the time Bridgwater was a major centre for brass, bronze and other metal foundries. However Band and Hine continued to advertise a wide range of goods after that date at their warehouse in North St Exeter, including church and other clocks. Excellent clock ready to put in your home.
