Lot of four matching Victorian gas light fixtures with an oxidized copper, copper flash, or japanned finish. Each measures approximately 20 3/4 from mounting bracket to bottom of gas valve key. 8 3/4 from back of hook on tubular arm to front of gas valve. Canopy diameter is 4. Utilitarian canopy and tubular arm with an ornate Victorian gas valve. Ready to be serviced or converted to electric fixtures. Offered as found and uncleaned. Some paint slop and finish oxidation. Rare Antique English Early Wedgwood Jasperware 9k Gold Pendant Cupid & Venus

Venus holds Cupids chariot as he breaks his bow. This superb early Victorian period genuine Wedgwood jasperware pendant is made of solid 9 carat gold, with gold dual chain drop and seed pearl accents. An allegory of love, Cupid is seen breaking his bow as its no longer needed (the wearer has found love) and Venus, goddess of long term devotion, waits to take over. The detail is quite amazing as the piece is a wonderfully wearable small size. Cupids classical shell chariot is drawn by two lions – each separately depicted rather than duplicated, in an example of extremely high quality artistry. It dates from around 1850 and is in very good, fully wearable condition, with a shallow chip to the front of the panel at 11.00 – not easily noticed. It weighs 4.3 grams, its drop is just shy of 2 inches and the jasperware panel is 27 x 20 mm.. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter. What’s more, I offer layaway deals so there’s no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers – just ask! For security all items are stored in a bank’s safe deposit box and sent fully insured for peace of mind.
