Rare Early Chinese Necklace with Tourmaline & Solid Gold Shaped Inserts

17th / 18th Century Chinese Necklace w/ Tourmaline & Solid Gold Beads. This superb Chinese necklace is decorated with three long solid gold beads and several tourmaline beads in various colors separated by bronze beads. It dates from the 17th or 18th century and measures approximately 24 inches end to end. The gold beads vary in size with the largest measuring 2 inches long and 1/2 of an inch at it’s widest point. The tourmaline beads average 1/2 an in to 5/8 of an inch long. It is in excellent condition with the exception of some greening on the bronze and a hole in one of the gold beads. We are unsure if the gold connectors to close it are later or not but if they are later they are still of Chinese origin. WE USE DAYLIGHT BULBS WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING. COLOR IS ACCURATE ON OUR MONITOR. RARE ANTIQUE/ EARLY 20thC NECKLACE OF LARGE HEAVY OPALESCENT FOIL GLASS BEADS

This is a genuine antique or very early 20th century necklace of beautiful hand made heavy opalescent glass foil beads. The beads are irregular and have areas where they are slightly rough and have have indentations. The foil flows through each bead (not just on the surface like more modern ones). They have a wonderful golden fiery glow! They are on their original stringing. The clasp was broken so I have added another one. I have had them for a long time, and I have enjoyed wearing them. They are the older high choker length; if a longer necklace is desired then they could perhaps do with being professionally restrung with appropriate spacer beads. I do not often see foil glass beads of such high quality. The necklace is approximately 15 long and weighs just over 67g Please do also read the condition report and have a look at all the images, as they form part of the description. FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM! Antique Navajo handmade silver necklace c. This is a most unusual piece and a fine addition to your collection of early Navajo jewelry. The necklace is made of bench beads in pearl and elongated shapes. It is decorated with 4 squash blossoms. Take a look at the close-up images to see the file marks on the beads and blossoms–this piece was made entirely by hand. The unusual pendant is a figural design with stamped decoration and turquoise eyes. The clasp is a commercial jewelry clasp of a style most commonly in use from the late 19C through the 30s; it was not totally unusual for Navajo jewelry of this early period to utilize commercial jewelry findings. An outstanding antique example. Please view our other listings. Wearable length is about 2. Pendant is 2 by 1 1/4. Weight is 39.6g. This has a dark old patina that my mother left in place; Ill leave any cleaning up to the new owner. Larger items may be more. Early / mid 20th century multi-strand glass and brass necklace. Museum quality, textbook example of the necklaces worn by the lovely Khond women in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. This is a rare, collectible necklace with the added plus of being fabulously wearable! 36 inches long (91 cm). The brass beads have an average diameter of 17 mm, the glass beads average 3.5 mm.
