Meissen Hoopoe Bird on Stump Porcelain 282 Large Art Deco. This is a handsome rare Meissen bir. D naturally modeled and. Perched on an elaborate d. Etailed white tree trunk base with pastel green foliage. On the undersides is the Meissen mark. The Hoopoe is a stunning migratory bird similar to a woodpecker that lives across Europe, Asia and Africa. This porcelain Hoopoe figurine is finely modeled in a handsome pose, alertly observing his surroundings. The unusual bird has a beautiful expression with small. And a long, slender pointed beak. Enriched in shades of brown, the tips of its double crest and tail feathers highlighted in dark-brown and black. Antique vintage gold metal lace braid ribbon tape trim. Rare mysterious early china boy doll Meissen? For the knowing collector. This for sure very early rare boy is giving some enigma of it´s maker. Having the crossed swords inside it´s head what could attribute him to Dornheim, Koch & Fischer. Dornheim, Koch & Fischer was a small German doll head maker wellknown for it´s high quality and very rare. Meissen would be a little sensation. I leave it to the knowing collector to evaluate. The head is fine molded and painted. Blue expressive eyes with red line. Fine painted and molded moth giving the impression of a slight smiling. Unfortunately a piece of shoulder is brocken off, a tiny part is missing. A nearly not to see hairline crack on the neck runs up to the hairdo on the back. Early great leatherbody in great condition for age with fine fingers and wasp waist. Marks and holes where the head was attached shows that the head allways originally has been attached to this body. However this is a rare early china doll for the appreciative collector of early china dolls. Size Head: 4.1/2 – 11.5 cm. Size Body: 14 – 35 cm. Size Head + Body: 17-1/4 – 44 cm. Rare 18th Century Early Meissen Antique German Porcelain Dove Pigeon Tureen

RARE 18TH CENTURY EARLY MEISSEN ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN DOVE PIGEON TUREEN. EXCEPTIONALLY FINE AND RARE EARLY MEISSEN LIDDED SAUCE TUREEN. Presenting a magnificent 18th Century soft paste porcelain tureen and cover naturalistically modelled into the of a nesting dove / pigeon. This exceptional example was produced by the quality German makers, Meissen, circa mid to late 1700s. The beautifully modelled dove is seated upon a basket moulded base with applied shredded clay foliage trimming the top of the nest. This piece is wonderfully finished in naturalistic glazes. This piece is presented in very good antique condition with some exceptionally minor losses to the shredded clay foliage noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. There appears to be a minor old repair to one side of the birds tail which has been professionally done and incredibly hard to spot. We had to take a magnifyer to the piece and even then it was hard to detect. There is a minuscule fleabite sized nibble to the top of the crest upon the birds head and the tiniest rough spot to the tip of the birds beak. There is some internal staining which we have not attempted to bleach out or remove in any way and should be able to be lessened in the new owners preferred manner. Light overall surface crazing mentioned for accuracy. This authentic antique example has survived exceptionally well and presents spectacularly. The unglazed base is beautifully marked with Meissen’s brushed blue crossed swords. This impressive piece stands approx 120mms tall, measures 195mms in length and 78mms in width. Early Meissen examples such as this fine figural tureen are highly desirable and feature in top Museum collections. This stunning piece would make an outstanding addition to any early Meissen, quality antique porcelain or figural tureen collection! A superb antique early Meissen 19 century porcelain plate. It decorated with rare hand painted harbor scene. There are two men in a row boat next to a small island where are standing a man and a woman. There are two barrels and a white package with straps marked with a hexagram, that symbolizes God reaching down to man and man reaching up to God, the union of Heaven and Earth. There are a few ships on the background with sails. On the island there is a castle partly falling down. The border is yellow with fish net decoration. The back is marked with Royal Porcelain Manufacture Meissen blue under glaze handpainted crossed swords mark c. It is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The plate is in very good to excellent original condition with minimum gilt were on the edge.
