Offering this antique handmade metal tin set of tidy lamp stand and Betty lamp. Measures 10″ T x 6.25″ base. This is a hard piece to find. Stand made same time in the 1800s for the Betty to sit on. Has a great patina and wear. Both are in good overall condition. The bottom of the tray does have rustic hole damage as seen. Nothing loose or unstable. Great piece of lighting. Came from a collection of good lighting. Expect imperfections consistent with age and use.

This antique vintage pewter and glass whale oil lamp clock is a rare and unique piece. Featuring a stunning fluted design with a capsule-shaped shade, it stands 13 inches tall and measures 5 1/4 inches wide. The polished pewter base complements the clear glass tube vessel, which includes a candleholder design and numbered markings on the side to indicate time as the oil burns. Designed in a colonial style, this oil-powered lamp is a true collector’s item. While the glass bobble at the top is unfortunately broken, the capsule and font remain fully intact. The glass font can be unscrewed for easy refilling, adding to its functionality and charm.

Standing at 69 cm tall, and weighing in at 9.4 LB, this is a very substantial piece of period lighting. Standing on a substantial four-step square plinth base with a unique brass-cased heavy stabilizer base plate, and brass cable entry grommet. Heavy bronze tubular central shaft with base and shoulder capitals. Original late 19th C bronze switched B22 bayonet-fit bulb holder with a twist Bakelite handle mechanism. Original deep bowl-shape ventilated bronze gallery with original locking bolts. Are early 20th C hand-moulded heavy acorn-shaped ribbed iridescent tinted glass shade. Professionally re-wired in period match three-core fabric-braided 0.75mm twist cable, earthed, tested, and in perfect working order. Early 20th C (MK) three-round pin brown Bakelite plug with early cord grip system. Absolutely beautiful piece of antique when turned off, would make a decorative focal point in any room. Totally stunning when lit, emits a very warm ambient glow when switched on. Dolan & Co The Cresent Lamp Police Bullseye Oil Lantern Rare Antique Early 1900s. Vintage Police Handheld or Bullseye oil lantern. DOLON & CO, VAUXHALL, LONDON. And so marked on the original rear maker’s brass plaque, also on a front brass tag. THE CRESCENT LAMP, TRADE MARK, PATENT. This Policeman’s hand held oil lamp was manufactured in the early 1900s and was issued to Police Forces and several Railway companies (one being the Cheshire Lines Committee, CLC) in the UK. The lamp is 165mm high 6. 1/2 inches, 103mm wide (4 inches), 114mm deep (4 1/2 inches). It’s in used condition with quite a bit of wear to the paint. I’m unsure if it’s missing any internal components, so please study the photos. Higher priced electrical items & crockery will be security marked. Second-hand, vintage, and antique items will not always be in perfect order. We will point out any flaws in the description. The base is made of noble wood and (the icing on the cake), we provide with the box some floating wicks of the time, found with this unusual object. It is in good condition, beautiful finesse of the Engraving on the sculpture, nice old patina. The papier-mâché box with its wicks is a little tired but it has the merit of having reached us.
