This rare Index Trade Mark Regd formal dress shirt dates to 1910 – 1920 at latest. It is made of beautiful finely woven cotton and features a Marcella waffle bib. Other details include long front tab which was originally used to attach shirt to trousers – the tab has two buttonholes. A rare detail are the two fabric cotton loops either side of the bib – these were used to attach the waistcoat to the shirt so that the shirt stayed in place. The back features a pleat and the original tie retainer loop which is printed. No holes – one or two very tiny marks which are not visible.
