Extremely Rare Wooden Early Antique Folk Art Doll 50cm/20 Inches As Found. Hard to find early wooden folk art doll, she dates from around 1820. She has such a lovely presence to her. Wooden head and shoulder plate carved from one piece of wood. Lovely long neck carved features with sweet smile and carved ears. Remnants of her original paint. She reminds me of an early type Izannah Walker doll. But she was made in the UK (probably Scotland) as I have had similar dolls before but they are so hard to find now. I hope someone can restore her legs and she would be really amazing. Dressed in very simple old cream dress with pink smock type top. Condition: Lower legs missing. Right hand one finger missing. Obvious wear to head and body. No re-paint I feel. Old Cracks and rubs to head. Please see pictures, as they give more details.
