This original antique 6 panel rugby football which dates from between 1890 and 1920 so would be from the time rugby and football were crossing over into two separate sports. Is a smaller size. Has three lace holes with string laces and is made of brown leather. The bladder is the original seamed type with a tube valve and has been fitted inside the ball inflated but does not hold air. The ball holds it’s shape well for display. This early great looking ball which has lots of age related wear is a very rare piece and would make a great collectible display ball for a rugby football fan. Dimensions: Length: Approx 31 cm with curve. Circumference: Approx 55 cm (21 3/4). Condition: Well used antique condition with lots of scuffs, scrapes, scratches and marks. The original bladder is fitted but it does not hold air but holds shape well for display. A genuine vintage rugby football and not a modern reproduction.
