A rare and robust matching service from the prestigious Sheffield makers Walker & Hall. This set is professional “Hotel Quality, ” built using the superior “Warranted Hard & Silver Soldered” method, making it incredibly durable and heavy-gauge. The teapot features a fascinating hand-scribed “W D” mark on the base (positioned by the flag logo) indicating it was issued to the British War Department. This set likely saw service in a Military Officers’ Mess or a Government Department circa 1930. The coffee pot remains in its original factory state without the additional department mark. Teapot is a 2-Pint capacity, marked with date letter’m’ c. Coffee Pot is a 1½-Pint capacity (marked 1½ PTS), matching design and series number (53665A). Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition with a bright high-shine finish. They are watertight, solid, and ready for use or display. Features the classic Walker & Hall pennant flag and Sheffield stamps. A beautiful set of British heritage silver plate with a genuine historical connection.

An exceptionally striking and unusually tall antique carved oak hall chair with cherub cresting and barley twist supports. A magnificent antique carved oak hall chair of impressive presence, featuring a tall 118 cm back, richly detailed hand-carved decoration, bold barley twist uprights, and an eye-catching cherub-and-flower crest rail. This is a highly decorative and atmospheric piece, ideal for collectors of Gothic, Renaissance Revival, Jacobean Revival, or ecclesiastical-style furniture. The chair has a dramatic silhouette, with carved foliate openwork throughout the back, turned barley twist supports, and detailed cresting with cherub figures supporting a central flowerhead. It has a strong sculptural quality that gives it real statement impact in any interior. In my opinion, this is an early to mid-19th century piece, or at the very least a genuinely old hand-carved chair in that tradition, showing excellent age, character, and patina. It is certainly not a modern reproduction. I have intentionally left the chair in its original condition to preserve its authenticity and aged character. The upholstery is worn and fragile, consistent with age, and could be replaced if desired, although it adds to the original feel of the piece. Condition: The chair is in honest antique condition with clear signs of age. There is historic woodworm present (now inactive), and an old repair to one leg. As a result, there is some movement/looseness in the structure, particularly around the front/leg area. For this reason, the chair is best suited as a decorative or display piece rather than for regular everyday seating. It displays beautifully and has excellent presence, but would benefit from structural reinforcement if intended for frequent use. A rare and characterful antique with strong visual appeal. The underside and construction also show old fixing methods including upholstery tacks / nails, along with signs of age and earlier repair work consistent with a long life. All of this adds to the authenticity of the piece rather than detracting from it. An absolutely stunning Cast Iron Early Victorian Antique Circular table with a wooden Floral Decorative Top. All original, beautifully aged and worn circular floral bistro table. The cast iron base is simple but stylish with the most unique legs. The floral top is very beautiful with some scratches and a few knocks however the base is absolutely stunning and timeless and will last for generations a really classic and very rare table base indeed. A truly one off unique classic table. Perfect size, so many uses for this unique piece. Perfect for a lamp, wine, side table, on a balcony or even for a prop or window display. Rare pair of early 19th century French window or hall seats. You are looking at a pair of very unusual early to mid 19th Century French window or hall seats. They are all original with a dark brown almost black varnish with lovey patina and wear. They have the most beautiful rococo legs at the front , with big chunky turned legs at the back. The seats have a rebate for the cushions. The side arms have turned slates and roundle finishes. Ther is a very small piece of edging missing at the back corner, (please see photo) We do have the original cushions , which we have saved to give an idea of the original style (they are straw filled and very tatty) the seats are mirror image so you have a left and right. Overall length including the back 62 (157cm) seat length 57 (146cm) overall width 13 (33cm) total height 29 (74cm) sear height 14 (35cm). VERY RARE EARLY-MID 19TH CENTURY FANEUIL HALL, BOSTON, MA ANTIQUE AME RI CAN OIL PAINTING ON CUT-OUT TIN DOOR PLATE, W/ARABESQUE SHAPED ENDS, BLACK. ENAMEL & SCROLLED GOLD GILT. DECORATIVE LINE & DRILLED. Early-mid 19th century Ame ri can painting & depictions of early Ame ri can period architecture. 9″ Height x 3″ Width. This incredibly rare and simply exquisite early to mid 19th century Ame ri can miniature oil painting of the famous, iconic architectural early structure, known as Boston, Massachusetts’ Faneuil Hall, is on a cut-out tin door plate, featuring arabesque cut-out ends, with black enamel and gold gilt scrolled decorative line, is in wonderfully well-preserved overall antique condition. It remains untouched and unmolested and in absolutely 100% original antique condition. It was just discovered on the North Shore of Massachusetts. This most likely late Federal to early Sheraton-period New England, early-mid 19th century antique architectural accessory relic, is an Ame ric ana gem and an important Ame ri can cultural artifact. Notwithstanding the fact that present-day Faneuil Hall (now Faneuil Hall Marketplace) is the 4th most-visited historic site out of the top 25 historic sites in all of the Unit ed Sta tes, this hand-painted, antique door plate features a vertical-format central, entirely hand-painted rendition of the iconic Federal-style Faneuil Hall, redesigned and expanded in the early 19th century by famed Ame ri can architect Charles Bulfinch, considered to be the father of Ame ri can architecture and the nascent nation’s first true Ame ri can architect. Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition. It remains untouched and in unmolested original antique condition. It is without damage except for some very minor black enamel loss around where an original metal fasteners once held the cut-out and pressed tin door plate snugly against an exterior door. Absent are dings, dents, abrasions, loss or scuffs to its remarkable surface. There’s also a single spot of black enamel loss at the very apex point of the the top arabesque cut-out top of the doorplate. However, the miniature oil painting of Faneuil Hall remains undisturbed and doesn’t suffer an abrasion or scuff to the entirety of its surface. This is an important piece of Ame ri can national cultural heritage and of our nascent architectural design impulse, featuring the work of the well-known father of Ame ri can Federal-period architecture, Charles Bulfinch, the architect responsible for none other than the famous Boston, Massachusetts Statehouse, North Church in Boston, Massachusetts General Hospital and the US Capital building in Washington, DC. This antique door plate is nearly originally constituted and in nearly museum quality condition. An extraordinary and important historical discovery.
