Offering this antique metal tin rare chocolate mold. Measures 8.25 x 3.75. This piece is first I’ve ever seen of its form. It has a dark natural patina and worn surface with an image of a detailed guitar. Has a sing clasp. It is signed on the side as seen. Expect a hard to find form and wonderful addition to any home.
This is a stunning little guitar. It’s currently set up with a floating bridge and a trapeze style tailpiece, but if you look closely at the later pictures of the bridge area you can see it previously had a romantic style moustache bridge. What really sets this little gem apart from similar guitar of this era is its stunning Birdseye maple back and sides. I’ve made a video of the guitar being played and I hope you’ll agree it sounds and plays great. Despite my poor playing. This is a reluctant sale, but bills are mounting.
Now here’s the kicker! She is in fact an early Archtop! My new friend couldnt be sure exactly when it was made but his best guess is around the turn of the 20th century so, maybe 1910, but it could be earlier.
