A very rare pair of violet tinted three part prismatic glass Holophane lanterns, housed within their original elaborate gilt copper cages. The gilt copper (over brass) has a wonderful patina, with the finish over time almost turning into a rose gold tone in areas. All glass sections stamped with the Holophane mark and patents numbers, the cages our also stamped. One very fine hairline crack in one of the diffusion plates, annoying but is very well hidden as runs within the lineal design of the plate, all others sections perfect. Each light also has its original heavy gauge brass chain, a reproduction brass ceiling hook, new brass bayonet b22 bulb holder, antique style three core silk flex. Circa 1920 in age. 43cm original chain length & “s” hook. Price is per pendant. Please get in contact as that can be arranged. Hello and welcome to. Depicted in vivid enamel colors. If you think differently or have something else to add to improve my description I would be very happy to hear from you. It has 26 sticks in total. As observed one stick is slightly bent, deformated. And is about to break at the bottom. Side is already broken shown with the white little circle in photo #8 and will have to be welded. Which I did not dare to fix and there are some tiny areas of enamel loss and filigree damage, but you really need to look very carefully to identify the latest. When you unfold the piece you get “blank” areas and you need to manually assist it to get it properly open and same when you fold it back meaning that the system needs some repair or adjustment but nothing is missing. Please see photo #8 and #12 where I marked with a. Circle where you can appreciate the stick which is slightly deformated and about to detach and the little white circle in photo #8 showing the little breakage. The ribbon is not original. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams according to my scale. The item is offered original as is as found without cleaning. Please check out my. 7 1/2″ (19cm) is the height and 13″ (33cm) approximately is the aperture lenght when fully opened/extended. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams. RARE EARLY VICTORIAN IRISH HAND CARVED GILT COMBINATION “ERIN GO BRAGH” WAX SEAL. This is a rare Stunning Georgian Irish Hand Carved Gilt Combination ERIN GO BRAGH Wax Seal, this i believe was crafted in Ireland c1838 making it around. 181 years old, this is a very special and Rare Georgian Irish Combination Wax Seal, the Handel is Beautifully Hand Carved with Baluster design Stem and Large Handle, the Handle also unscrews to reveal a Compartment inside the Handle and it screws nice and secure back onto the body of the Wax Seal. The Seal itself has Gold Gilt and is round in Shape, and what makes this Wax Seal even more special is the Seal with the words ERIN GO BRAGH which translate into Ireland Forever or Ireland to the End, it also has the Shamrock which is used as a Symbol of Ireland. This would have been owned by a Proud Irish Man or Woman in the Early Victorian Period, this really is a special and Unique one of a Kind Combination Wax Seal, and is in good condition with just light wear which is normal for the age of this Beautiful Wax Seal, this is a rare and Collectable Carved Handle Combination Irish Wax Seal. NICE PATINA ON FACES AND HEADS. SEVERAL AREAS OF GOLD/COPPER COLORS REMAIN. BOTH APPEAR TO BE CARVED IN ONE PIECE. EACH RESTS ON A FLAT CARVED BASE.
